Chapter Twelve

The silence was killing but she couldn’t dare to utter a word. She wondered if she was on a tour or not. Of course, with him, the ruthless Lycan King, it was bound to be different. She didn’t know when she dozed off.

She opened her eyes to see someone staring at her. How long had she been sleeping? Most importantly, how long had he been staring at her? Did she snore? Did she sleep ugly? Was he irritated by her sleeping form? All these questions filled her head. She shook her head. She shouldn’t think about him. She shouldn’t care about what he thought about her.

She cleared her throat and looked forward. He relaxed into the seat.

“You should have woken me up.” She said when she noticed that the car had stopped moving. They must have arrived at their destination. She couldn’t believe that she had slept all the way.

“That is what I have been trying to do for the past one hour. You sleep like a log of wood.” He scoffed and she swallowed. She had never been a heavy sleeper. Why would she
