Chapter Sixteen

She turned around and her eyes shone bright as she recognized the figure in front of her.

“What was he doing here?” She asked herself.

She stood transfixed in a spot as he approached her with a smile on his face.

“How are you doing?” He asked and her eyes went back to Cassian. He was still playing with the kids. He looked lost in his world.

His sister had gone back inside. She grabbed his hand and pulled him away from the scene before Cassian could recognize him. She didn't want to think of what would happen if Cassian saw him around her.

“What are you doing here?” She whispered to him still turning around to make sure that they were not being followed or seen.

“That's the first thing you're going to ask me?” He asked but she sighed.

“You know that we can't be seen together.”

“Why? Did we do anything wrong? I am your mate for crying out loud. Stop treating me like a side chick.” He said, raising his voice a little. She wanted a little.

“Sorry, but it feels like you don't want me here
