Chapter 37

Madison climbed the stairs that led to Liam's room. She knew he was home because his cars were all parked outside.

She had to settle this once and for all. She couldn't live her life like she was a prisoner.

She pushed the door to his room open, her eyes darting around angrily until she saw him sitting at the far end of the room, operating his laptop.

The sound of the door opening made him turn around to see who it was, "Oh, babe?" he called, standing up to meet her.

"Don't come near me!" She said angrily, making him halt immediately.

"What is going on, babe? Who got you this upset?" he asked so innocently with so much concern in his voice.

"Why, Liam? Why get a bodyguard to follow me around? What did you do that for?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest as she waited for a response.

Liam heaved a sigh of relief, "Oh, that?" he smiled. "Is that why you are this pissed? Come on, honey. It's just for your safety," he explained, maintaining his smile.
