A TRAP

Emily's mom parked her car in front of Daniel's gate and stepped out. She had already checked the other two houses before this one. As she looked around, there was no sign of anyone. She knocked on the gate repeatedly, but there was no reply.

In the other houses she had visited, she had encountered two men. She told them she was searching for Daniel Straw. She didn't know if they had passed the information to him. Regardless, she didn't care. All she knew was that when she laid her eyes on him, he would either return her daughter to her or she would die trying. She knew that killing her would be easy for him, but she felt it was a risk worth taking.

Despite her repeated knocking, there was no response from inside the gate. She decided to walk around the country house, hoping to find any clue indicating if her daughter was being held captive. However, she found nothing.
