When I saw him, my only emotion was a relief. He must've sensed something was wrong with me as he stared at me intently.
"Hey," I smiled.
He encircled his arms on my waist and pulled me into a hug. "What's wrong?" he whispered into my hair.
"Nothing. Why do you ask?" I closed my eyes and let his warmth spread through me.
"Liar. I saw Jessica leave in a hurry, and now I see you looking peeved. You can tell me if there's anything wrong. I can help," he said and kissed my forehead.
"I don't know. I think Jessica is doing it again," I blurted out.
"Doing what again?" he asked me, looking puzzled.
