A Sort Of Closure

Lina watched the side mirror, getting smaller and smaller behind them as they drove away. And a certain longing to return to it settled in her heart. Maybe in the future, she uttered inwardly.

“Are you fine with the fact that your mother is being kept there?”

Lina tore her eyes away from the side mirror when she heard Eon’s question. She didn’t answer his question but watched his handsome side profile as he drove. “I think keeping her there is a form of kindness.” She said after a while.

Eon nodded. She’s right because if her mother wasn’t taken to that castle, she would be inside an asylum. With the way she acted towards Lina, it’s clear that she can’t live in the outside world anymore. She was too broken to function in the normal society.

“She’s full of anger and hate that any form of explanation would be useless to her.” She sighed and looked outside the car’s window. &
