“Where are we going?” She whispered against Eon’s arm as they followed the man that according to Eon could answer her questions.

Eon tightened his grip on her hand. “Don’t worry. It’s fine,” he whispered back.

Lina exhaled a big sigh of relief. She walked in silence next to Eon as they followed the man in the maze of hallways in this old castle that Lina felt like they were walking to a dungeon because they had been walking for such a long time.

She had cried her heart out in the garden inside Eon’s strong arms while some nurses took her mother away. She was crying and screaming her name, cursing her for all the terrible things that happened in her life.

Her hand clasped tighter around Eon’s arm and she pressed her side closer to him that he glanced over his shoulder, his brows knitting as he looked at Lina, plastering herself to his side. He wasn’t complaining but he was worried if she was overt
