Lina heard the hum of the aircon and the unfamiliar felt of the mattress on her back. She sniffed the air before she opened her eyes and fear crawled on her skin when she smelled the air.
“You can open your eyes. You’re safe here.”
Her eyes flew open when she heard the familiar voice. She jerked up the bed, pulling the blanket to her chest for a part of her brain remembered that she would wake up naked whenever she woke up with Eon in the room.
“Didn’t you get enough sleep for you to be up that long?” His voice was laced with worry.
“Y-you!!” She pointed her finger at Eon who was lounging on the armchair under an open window. She could see that it was already night and she was in a bedroom with a Victorian interior design. “What did you to me?”

The night breeze caressed her skin as the moon—high up in the night sky, adorned the open window of her hotel room where a table for two was set up for her and Eon.
