The Hurts
The humming in her head went quiet the moment Eon kissed her. The questions that were causing her anxiety due to uncertainties disappeared as though the future no longer mattered. Her eyelids slowly fluttered when Eon raised his mouth away from hers but didn’t pull back.
“Lina.”
The way he called her name in a soft tone of voice caught her by surprise, her eyes stared right into Eon’s and noticed that his eyes were jet black with a speck of gold. “Galan,” she whispered back.
Eon blinked and his eyes returned to their normal color. “What did you say?”
“What?” She also blinked her eyes in confusion and leaned back to put a gap between their faces for it appeared that Eon had no plan to get away from her.
“You call me with a name…” He tilted his head to the side, pulling the small of her back closer to her but her seatbelt hindered his action. “Galan, you said.”
