48 - Running out

The moon was about to leave the sky when Grizel and Sana Azalea stepped out through the back door. To say Grizel was at her wits end was just an understatement. Her heart was racing crazily the entire time they walked and for a second, she thought of running back to the village but then again, she couldn’t particularly reject Sana Azalea’s request. Alpha Prince Kael had already received too many punishments in the past, adding more was something Grizel would never want to happen.

She held her thoughts and emotions to herself, braving herself as she walked with Sana Azalea and her two guards. The only hope she had left was for Jed to find out quickly about their charade and stop Sana Azalea… If that was even possible.

Meanwhile, on the pack central grounds, Jed reached Alpha Prince Kael and told him with confidence, “I made sure she won’t speak.”

Kael nodded, rubbing his chin, “How long do you think this is going to take? I want to return to my chambers.”
