Evie's POV

I was at the center of a garden, and my arms spread widely apart. I was inhaling the smell of the sunflowers that surrounded me, masking the air with all the goodness they had to offer. I closed my eyes and listened to the air swishing, making it seem like it was singing a calm, melodious tune. I felt myself drifting and drifting into its world of melodious tune as someone kept tapping me awake.

Wait! Someone was tapping me? That felt like the wrong thing to feel. I opened my eyes with full force as I noticed that whoever the hands belonged to was not ready in any way to let me be. I tried to slap the hand away, but the person held my hand firmly, halting the impending attack I was planning.

"Calm down. It is only me." The voice said to me.

I relaxed as I realized that it felt somewhat familiar to me. I looked to the side and saw Alpha River sitting at the side of the bed I was resting on, his hand still holding mine. He squeezed it to reassure me and even smiled at me
