Evie's POV

For the next three days after the suffocating incident in my room happened, the Alpha refused to allow me to sleep alone. It was either we slept in his room or he would wait until I was fast asleep in my room before he carried me back to his room. As for Miss Aurora, she got better after two days and left for her house with the Gamma.

While we were in bed the previous night, the Alpha announced to me that he had to go to the city to check on the business since there was no director there. He implored me to go with him since he chose me as the director at the last meeting, but I respectfully declined. I wasn't cut out for that kind of stress in my life. Thankfully, Beta Stephan had offered to take over the position.

Alpha Damon had been reluctant about leaving me alone to myself, but I assured him that I wouldn’t be staying alone since I would be surrounded by people at the pack and the Omegas would also be there with me. He and his Beta and Gamma finally left after Grace a
