Caleb opened his mouth to say something, but he suddenly felt powerless in the face of Ember's caution and composure.

Avery peeked out from behind and made a funny face.

"I don't believe you. Stay away from Mommy and me. Don't think about bullying Mommy!"

Avery's words, accompanied by a wrinkled nose, deeply pierced Caleb's heart. Looking at the determined eyes of the mother and son, he had no choice but to give up.

He handed the nutritional supplements he brought to Ember without hesitation.
