Damon’s POV

A few days later, after a good rest, my health had improved, and I started working at the office. I reluctantly agreed to Jared's request to rest at home for a few days. I also listened to the advice and counsel from Jared, who told me to survive and not to give up just because I felt guilty and forgotten by Addison.

I'm currently busy at the office finishing up some work that was delayed while I was sick. Jared was here with me. Although there was Jared could have replaced the work, Jared could not fully handle everything and still needed my signature.

"Is everything done?" I asked Jared, who currently seemed focused on his laptop.

Jared raised his head and looked at me while nodding his head. "Yes, Mr. Saunders. It's all done."

I nodded back and stood up from my seat. My hand reached for the suit jacket on the capstok and put it on.

"Are you leaving, sir?"

I glanced at Jared, who was still sitting in his chair. "I have a meeting with Mr. Rundolph."
