Objection

ATHENA’S POV

Night had fallen, and I was back in my room. What the other maid had said was still replaying in my head, and I pondered on it, thinking about what Alpha Jeremy was probably doing in his study that evoked such great suspicion and fear in the maid that went to serve tea.

I had also felt something wrong with the atmosphere, earlier. Could it be as a result of Alpha Jeremy’s weirdness? I shook my head, and moistened my lips as I cuddled my bed cover, and stared into blank space. My eyes were getting heavy now, and in any moment from now, I could sleep off.

After for what seemed like half an hour ago, the aura in the room changed. My ears became firm to pick up on any strange sound. And there was it, I could hear light steps around my room, but I was too scared to sit up or budge.
