ATHENA’S POV

I jerked off my seat as I realized that it was truly poison, he was about to add to the omelet, or probably he had added it already.

“What’s going on?” He asked, in a curious tone.

“Did you just add poison to the omelet?” I questioned, with raised eyebrows.

“Uhm… why do you think so?” he asked, acting like he wasn’t aware of what he did.

“I didn’t just think so. I can smell it. Hold on. If I couldn’t smell it, are you going to allow me to eat it?”

“Yes.”

His answer dug deep into my heart, and left me speechless. I couldn’t say a word as I was so pained to my heart, and what was more frustrating was that I wanted to just leave, but I didn’t know my way around, even with my cane.

But I couldn’t just stand there like a moron. I held my cane, and tapped it lightly as I tried my best to avoid walls, and anything that could trip me. I couldn’t even tell where I was, in his house anymore, and I just knowingly fell to the ground helplessly, and started crying.
