Chapter 35: A Life With Him

Lessandra's POV:

"Ashton!" I called Ashton when I saw him leaving the house. He was very well dressed and seemed to be chasing time. He stopped when I called him, but I knew he still didn’t pay attention to me because he was talking to someone over the cellphone.

"What?" he asked annoyed after he dropped the call of the person he was talking to earlier on the line.

"Where are you going? Are you coming home for dinner?" I asked him one question after another. He just frowned at me after he looked at the wristwatch he was wearing.

"Stop acting like a real wife, Lessandra! You're just my fake wife, remember?" I recoiled because of the sudden shaking of my knees. I fainted at the words he uttered in my face.

"I have to go, bye!" he added and left like he didn't care. When he finally left, I just sat on the floor while hugging my knees.
