I hadn't been up to two hours since I spoke to Veronica and I was already missing her. It was weird that before her, I totally loved my solitary lifestyle, enjoying my own company and not bemoaning anything. It was bliss and peace at it's finest for me, at least till she came into my world. Now, I couldn't seem to enjoy my company without thinking I had to talk to her or see her. My brother, Victor, would have laughed at me, saying something along the line of how I was henpecked. Thinking of him, I picked up my phone and dialed his number, knowing he was probably sleeping or working at the hospital.
"Hallo, brother from another mother!" He yelled into the phone and I removed the device away from my ear, not wanting to lose my precious sense organ.
"Why are you so chirpy this morning?" I asked, returning the phone back as I rested against the counter of my kitchen, a mug of coffee in my other hand.
