28. Ashley's Arrival
"Hey beautiful," Ashley said smiling at Maria.
"You... Why are you here? Oh no, I mean how did you know I was here?" Maria asked still surprised by Ashley's arrival.
"I told you, wherever you are, I'll know," said Ashley, handing Maria a bouquet of roses.
Ashley turned to Rose and smiled at the middle-aged woman.
Seeing Ashley's gaze made Maria turn to Rose as well. "Rose, he's Ashley my best friend," she said.
Rose smiled and shook her hand at Ashley. She then said goodbye to clean up the leftovers from Maria.
As soon as Rose walked out of the door, Ashley sat down beside Maria and held Maria's hand.
"You are okay?" asked Ashley.
