Her lids fluttering hard to fight the watery feeling in her eyes, Zaramanni finally woke up from her slumber which felt like a long one.
Her toes twitched as she sat up while grabbing onto her pillows for support.
Her sight was still blurred by the tears in her eyes, so when she turned her head, she could hardly tell if Clarissa was in her bed or not.
Then, her clouded sight darted toward the huge doors of her room.
Zaramanni rubbed both eyes to get rid of the dimness they were exhibiting, but in the process of doing that, while her eyes stayed trained on the doors, she caught a glimpse of bright blue light from the little gaps of the entrance.
Creaking sounds from outside filled the air when Zara's feet touched the cold floor.
Zaramanni got up and felt a weakness in her system. Her eyes trained intently on the doors, and she reached for the bed’s headboard for support.
Then, Zara attempted to take
When Darren came to, he found himself on the cold, aesthetic ground that made his room look majestic. His body had formed into a round ball and he found it somewhat hard to straighten his figure. Once his entire body was now lying straight, the man who had the side of his face staying glued to the floor made an effort to get up. Both of his hands went to work, trying to lift the rest of his body, their palms steadily glued against the ground. But his bones felt feeble and he took a pause. Alpha Darren then recalled the last time he was conscious. He remembered how his beast forced its way out with a certain intent. Frightened by the thought of not knowing the things that happened after they jumped out of the palace, King Darren quickly left his pitiful position. Standing upright, and more alert, he scanned the room he was in. He confirmed that it was indeed his royal room, and was about to take steps towards the huge windows of his room when he noticed a certain colour. T
“You really don’t remember?” Zara’s voice trailed Lord Elias whose footsteps advanced towards the library faster than hers. “Really?”“I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you sure it wasn’t a dream?” He asked while he pushed the doors open. As he stepped into the magically huge room, he let out a sigh of relief, as though he was extremely glad to be back in the library.Zaramanni paid no attention to how relaxed the man was.Still rushing after the he-wolf, a deep frown etched in the middle of her temple, she said, “I am sure it wasn’t a dream. It really happened.”“Zaramanni,” Lord Elias called, the tone of his voice suggesting that he didn’t believe her. “What do you mean? I was at that council meeting. I would have known if you suddenly appeared in the room. Besides, how would you be able to do that? Except your powers are…” His response which was on the verge of possessing an angry tone halted. Lord Elias began to poke the insides of his mouth with his tongue and he wo
Zaramanni found herself clutching her chest area as the manly embrace that enveloped her abounded.“Zoey,” she called the man whose chin was now resting on her shoulders.“Hmm?”“Why does my heart pound with excitement each time you are around me?”It was indeed odd that her heart acted weird each time she was close to Zoey.It wasn’t like that the first time she met him nor did it happen the second time they met. But, ever since they came back from their journey to the Heart of the Kingdom, her entire self felt different beside him.Her heart pounded with excitement, her body always wanted to run to him while she thought about kissing him.Well, since she already did more than kiss him, her desire for the man grew abundantly. At that very moment, her heart wouldn’t stop announcing its excitement. Zara’s heart pounded so much that she feared th
"Can someone tell me why the fuck I had to take the back route?" Beta Zoey asked from the entrance of the throne room, an angry tone in his voice. As he walked into the large room where others were waiting for him, he continued, "Are we being cowards in our land now? That is pitiful.""Beta Zoey, you are in the Alpha's presence," Sham spoke solemnly from where he stood. Sham had taken a position very close to the King. In his hands was a small box that contained the King's special dagger. "Show some fucking respect.""Sham," Zoey called the man with a certain distaste. "I think you are the one that needs to learn respect. All I did was ask a question.""Well, you are in the presence of the Alpha King. You can quit complaining..." Sham narrowed his eyes and his lips formed a tighter line. "... Beta Zoey.""That's enough," Alpha King Darren, whose mind had been questioning the sudden appearance of the Vampire Overlord, spoke.Sham placed the sm
Her hand stretched, her feet feeling heavy and her brows knitting into a tight frown of concern, Zaramanni took a deep breath. That deadly moment scared hergreatly.Clarissa's feet were hardly stable on the window sill so, as she glanced at Zaramanni, the she-wolf had to hold onto the frame for support."Why are you stopping me?" Clarissa asked, her voice low and sober. "Why…" she then faced the sky ahead. "Why can't you mind your business?""You don't have to do this, Clarissa. You have to live," Zaramanni responded softly as she took one cautionary step closer."Why?" Clarissa screamed when she faced Zaramanni again. Hair flowing with the wind, face reddened with tears, she screamed again, "Why?"Clarissa's legs shook, she was still struggling to find her balance. "Why should I live? What is left for me? What meaning does my life have?""Clarissa, you-""My baby is dead! My entire family is dead because of
One thing Alpha Darren loved about the manor was the sparkling river behind the huge building. Before the moon goddess selected him to be the next Alpha King after his father, The Mighty Wolf, died, Darren grew up in the manor. And, that river was a place he went to whenever he was bothered.Just as it was in the past, the Alpha wished to go to the riverside because he was greatly troubled. His shoes made clicking noises that filled the empty corridors. With his hands folded behind him, while his boots filled the corridors with noise, King Darren wondered if he should visit the half-fairy girl.It had been a while since he saw her. And, he had an important question to ask her. But, while the question was important, the peace he was feeling at that point pleasured him greatly. He loved that he wasn't feeling the hard pull of his wolf. King Darren didn't know how long his wolf would stay quiet, so he wishe
“I have no intention to offer you a seat,” Alpha Darren spoke, a reckless look in his eyes. Before he spoke further, his ears picked up the sounds of footsteps. Soon, the other Betas joined them. “We have offered you enough comfort by giving you a place to stay. You can’t be too comfortable either, I am certain you get my point.”The Vampire managed a smile in response. He settled his hand fan on the table and his dark-chocolate skin glistened in the light of the room for a second. After a curt nod, he said, “Alpha King Darren, I fully understand you.” His voice was still very chilling. But the exposure of his fangs which have been rumoured to have taken a thousand lives gave his overall presence a deadlier feel.“I surprised myself as well when I found my way to your kingdom. Zenrada and Skullis have been enemies for so long,” he scoffed, his hands behind him, “so, it ma
With all her strength, Zaramanni tried to rip off her shirt. If she needed to go naked to get free from the murderous hold, she would do it. She didn’t care. But, while her buttocks felt hotter as she was involuntarily dragged over the tile, the shirt gown refused to tear. Her hands fumbled with the material while her throat began to feel more and more tightened, gagging noises leaving her lips by the second. Her breath was gradually leaving her. That was until she made contact with the person’s wrist. “Argh!” A masculine shriek filled the corridors and sizzling sounds followed. And the grasp disappeared. Quickly, Zaramanni crawled to a distance she considered safe. Heavy breaths escaped her as her hands kept feeling her neck to make sure it was still intact. Then, with her eyes narrowed with slight fear and curiosity, Zara looked ahead and watched her attacker hold his wrist which was now greatly scarred with burns. The darkened spot on his skin emitted smoke until it did n
