Aethelfrith's POV
We arrived at the event a little bit late, everyone was dressed in all black, mom's photography right from her childhood till her last picture was placed in every concern of the room. The room was decorated with her favorite colors and flowers.I was most shocked when I saw my own father and mother at the event."Didn't they hold theirs back at home?" Leon whispered to me"How would I know?, We are both here." I whispered back. We both walked towards them to greet them."My Lord and Queen Elisabela" Leon and I greeted in unison and bowed respectfully."I see, you have refused to come home" Father said looking directly at me."You could have atleast responded to our greetings first" I said, Leon pinched me on the hands.Father looked at me, challenging me to repeat myself again. I was about to let him know I don't fear him before mother stepped in."Aethelfrith sweetheart, we have missed you so much, when will you be home?." Queen Elisabela asked calmly."Soon mother, soon, I just wanted to finish up some work here." I told mother, Leon pinched me again. Only this time I turned to look at him."Ask about your sister and betrothed." Leon whispered to me. I could barely hear him speak, I was about to pretend I didn't hear a thing then he decided to step on my feet this time around. I forced a fake smile."Mother, how is Zella doing?" I asked"Zella is fine she misses you so much, you know she didn't get much of a childhood with her brother, she wants that" Queen Elisabela spoke with so much happiness. I was truly surprised by the Queen. Leon cleared his throat signaling for me to ask the other question. I honestly didn't care about it but I had no choice."How is she doing?" I asked"Who is she?" Mother questioned back"Crimson, you moron" Leon whispered trying to help me out of the situation."Crimson, she is fine, she awaits your arrival" Queen Elisabela replied still smiling."Look who we have here." Grandpa said referring to FatherMy Grandparents came to welcome mother and father. I honestly think Grandpa and Grandma don't like Queen Elisabela, They think she was the other woman in mom's life. I hate pretence cause I could sense it from every corner of this room especially from mother, so Leon and I excused ourselves from them."Jeez" Leon said"That was exhausting" I said to Leon"She didn't greet me the way she greeted you." Leon said with a sad expression on his face."Hmmmm" I raised my eyebrows."I mean, am her son too but she only called you son." Said Leon"That's mother, I feel like she was forced to say it." I said to Leon"Or maybe because you are the next in line" Leon picked up strawberries to put in his mouth."Leon" I called out."Yep" he answered."Didn't you want to look for a mate at today's event?" I aksed Leon, he stopped eating is strawberries and looked at me."Ahhhh, that was true" Leon smilled."Look, there are so many mate here both humans and our kind." I pointed to different ladies in the room."Don't worry I would find my own mate" Leon smilled."In the meantime, let's fine you a mate"said Leon as he put his hands on my shoulders."Have you gone mad?, Have you forgotten I have a betrothed?." I asked utterly shocked."Of course,I haven't forgotten anything" Leon said sheepishly."You don't even know Crimson, nor have you even met her, you are only going to marry her for the kingdom not because you love her" said Leon."Let's not have this discussion, cause you are not making any sense" I said to Leon."I am, you know dad was betrothed to Queen Elisabela but fell in love with Ambrosia." Leon said"Stop, let's leave it, am not like Dad,so I cannot make any mistake like him." I said to Leon then excused myself.I walked into the kitchen to get myself a drink when I saw a female figure resting on the kitchen counter, she wore a black open back long gown. I couldn't see her face but I could tell she was beautiful, I couldn't feel any human or Dhampir or vampire energy around her."What is she" I muttered under my breath. The energy I felt around her was rather powerful and strong, I have never been around such powerful energy before. I moved towards a bit, then I saw a beautiful butterfly tattoo and a strange writing underneath the tattoo on the left side of her back."Good evening" I greeted her."What is so Good about the evening you speak off?" She replied without turning to look at me."Then I guessed it isn't a good evening at all" I chuckled."I didn't say that either" she chulcked."Am Aethelfrith" I introduced myself to her."I already know that" she said still backing me."How, if I make ask" I moved a little bit closer to her. The more I get closer the more power I sense around her."It's your mother death anniversary being held here, so how wouldn't I know" she said, I could feel her smile."But""But what?" She cut me mid sentence."You didn't let me finish but nevermind" I turned a bottle of wine into my glass."Okay, sure I never mind anyway" she sipped from her own glass. I still haven't gotten the chance to see her face but her voice was the most beautiful and charming voice have ever heard."Tryamon" A lady called from the door. I could feel the same powerful energy."Tryamon, that's your name" I said admiring her beautiful name."Have a nice day" she said,"I didn't even get to see you" I said but she had already left through the other door. I also went through the same door but she has already gone."That was fast" I muttered.Leon entered through the same door Tryamon stepped out from."Did you see her?" I aksed him"Who?" Leon asked back."Nevermind." I said to him, he just struggled his shoulders."Tryamon what a beautiful name."I was curious about her face, her voice was beautiful I could not explain it, there was feeling pulling me towards her."I must find her" I said"Find who?" Leon asked, I turned to look at him thinking if it's right to tell him."Nevermind let's head back" I told him, we walked back to the living room to join the others.Who is she ?What is she? What kind of powers did I sense from her ?Those questions linger on my mind the whole night, my curiosity made me want to look for her, hear her voice and see her face. I was more curious about the writing underneath her butterfly tattoo.I must find out about her.Aethelfrith's POV"A package is here for you" Leon shouted all the way from downstairs. I left my room, went downstairs to see what this package is all about."What's in the package?" I asked Leon"I wouldn't know, I haven't opened the package" Leon said, he opened the package. It was big picture frame, The picture on the frame was taken during my mom's anniversary. It was taken in the kitchen but I don't remember anyone apart from I and Tryamon in the kitchen. The picture shows us backing the camera."It's beautiful" Leon said still admiring the frame."It is but I don't recall anyone apart from the two of us in the kitchen that evening" I said still confused."Meaning you know her?" Leon asked"I don't really know her, I didn't even get to see her face but her voice was beautiful" I said to Leon remembering that evening and her."Do you like her?" Leon asked."How can I like someone I don't even know?" I asked back"There is a note at the back of the frame" Leon said handing the no
Aethelfrith's POV"She is here," I said to Leon."Who is here?" Leon asked as he moved closer to me."Tryamon," I said to Leon."How do you know that?" Leon asked, surprised."I can smell her, I can hear her talk and laugh." I told Leon.Without a second thought,I excused myself from the table and approached Tryamon. As I got closer, I noticed the same beautiful tattoo on her arm, just as I had seen in the picture, in my dreams and when I met her in the kitchen that evening"Tryamon?" I called out softly, unsure if it was really her.Tryamon turned toward me, her eyes meeting mine with a mix of surprise and curiosity. She recognized me, the man whose dreams she has been manipulating, but she hadn't expected to see me in person."Aethelfrith," she whispered, a smile playing on her lips. "I never thought we would meet like this." She smirked.I couldn't help but smile in return, relief washing over me. The connection I had felt was real, and now, finally, we stood face to face.As Tryam
Tryamon's POV"Aethelfrith, what a captivating name for a captivating vampire" I said to Bella, still sipping my wine."Who's that?" Bella asked curiously."The half blooded vampire I met at the death anniversary dinner yesterday" I told her.Bella raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by my statement. She leaned in closer, her eyes shining with curiosity. "Tell me more, Tryamon," she urged.I took another sip of my wine, savoring the rich flavors before continuing. "Aethelfrith is unlike any vampire I've encountered before," I began, a hint of excitement in my voice. "His presence commanded attention from the moment he walked into the room. He exuded an air of mystery and allure."Bella's interest grew, and she leaned even closer, her eyes widening. "What was he like?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper."I didn't really see his face,he was behind me the whole time" I whispered to her.I"I want him," I announced outloud."Just like that?" Bella asked with confusion written all
Aethelfrith's POV"Should I call her, should I not call her" I contemplated to myself while plucking out the flowers in the garden."You have been doing this for hours" Leon said with anger and frustration evident in his voice.I glanced up from my task, a small smile playing on my lips. "Patience, Leon. Patience," I replied calmly. "I need to make sure everything is perfect before I reach out to her." Leon let out an exasperated sigh, crossing his arms over his chest. "You've been saying that for days, Aethelfrith. It's time to make a move or move on."His words struck a nerve, and I felt a pang of uncertainty in my chest. Was I overthinking things? Should I take a leap of faith and reach out to her? But what if she rejected me?I turned my attention back to the flowers, plucking a particularly vibrant blossom. The petals felt delicate in my hands, mirroring the fragility of my emotions."I can't help it, Leon," I confessed softly. "There's something about her that draws me in.
Crimson's POVAs I sat at the breakfast table in the palace, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. Queen Elisabela's suggestion to have breakfast here was a sign of the growing importance of my role in the royal family. Being betrothed to Prince Aethelfrith meant that this palace was becoming my second home, and soon I would officially become his wife.Turning to my father, a sense of determination filled me. I wanted to make the most of this opportunity and hasten the engagement and wedding process. With a smile on my face, I posed the question to my father, hoping he would agree."Father, why don't we hasten the engagement and wedding process?" I asked, my eyes shining with anticipation. My father looked at me with a mix of surprise and curiosity. He wanted to ensure that this was truly what I desired."Is that what you want, dear?" Father asked, his voice filled with genuine concern.I nodded my head confidently, a sense of certainty in my heart. "Yes, Fathe
Aethelfrith's POVAs I arrived at the art gallery, a sinking feeling settled in my stomach. I was about thirty minutes late, and my heart raced with the worry that I had missed Tyramon. As I entered, my eyes scanned the room, but she was nowhere to be found. With a mix of disappointment and apprehension, I decided to make the most of my time and immerse myself in the artwork. I strolled through the gallery, taking in the diverse range of paintings that adorned the walls. Each brushstroke and color choice held a story, inviting me to explore the artist's world.I walked slowly, my steps echoing in the quiet space as I absorbed the emotions and narratives captured in each piece. "Aethelfrith" Tryamon sweet and melodic voice called my name.I turned to face her, and my breath caught in my throat. Tryamon stood before me, radiating an exquisite beauty that words could not adequately describe. She wore a black short fitted gown with a high slit and an open back, revealing her elegant tatt
Aethelfrith's POVI whispered, "What are you?" Tyramon looked at me, as if unsure of what to say next.As Tryamon met my question with a confident yet enigmatic response, a surge of anticipation coursed through me.She posed a question of her own, "Do you want to know?" She asked looking into my eyes, I felt shivers run down me. The choice was clear in my mind—whatever the truth may be, I wanted to discover it."Yes," I replied, my voice tinged with a mix of excitement and trepidation. I held her gaze, searching for any hints of deceit or ulterior motives, but all I found was a sense of sincerity and a spark of something extraordinary"Okay then, I will show you what I am." Without further explanation, Tryamon called for the waiter and swiftly took care of the bill. Leaving the restaurant behind, we headed towards the mountains.I watched as Tryamon confidently took the driver's seat of my car, her presence commanding yet gentle. The engine roared to life as she skillfully maneuvered
Aethelfrith's PovI barged into Leon's room without knocking "Leon, Leon" I jumped on his bed.He looked up from his laptop "What?""Tyramon and I are a thing now like we are a couple," I said excitedly, I just couldn't contain the happiness in my heart."Really?" He asked."But you don't seem happy though, is everything okay?" I asked, concern evident in my voice.Leon dropped his laptop and stood up from his bed, sensing something wasn't right I stood up too. "Your news is good, but I have bad news that will scatter your good news.""What do you mean?" I was very worried now about what Leon meant."Father, ask you to come back home," he said. I laughed out loud."It's nothing new, he always asks that." I continue laughing."Your engagement date has been fixed and your Marriage is immediately after your engagement." A wave of shock and disbelief washed over me, my laughter fading into stunned silence. The news Leon had just delivered hit me like a sudden gust of wind, leaving me bre
