Chapter 89: Altering Decision
When I woke up the next morning after the conversation I had with Danny, he wasn’t there anymore. I guess the moment I slept, he returned home and rested. I woke up feeling grateful to him because it put out the weight in my chest despite the heartache I was feeling. Today, instead of sulking over what happened between me and Liam, I chose to look forward to what Danny had said to me last night. I was keeping my fingers crossed that Liam wouldn’t let go of the things we’d been through because I thought I was ready, but I wasn’t. I thought I hadn’t clung to the hope that we could make our relationship work this time, but I thought to myself that I couldn’t do it without him. Maybe this was just a challenge and it would make us stronger. Maybe the world was just telling me to stop my wrongdoings and focus on improving

Chapter 90: Putting The Blame
I stabbed the lettuce with my fork and gritted my teeth in annoyance. Amanda and Emma were staring at me in confusion while they gazed at my hand that was tightly gripping my fork with my knuckles turning white. I was beyond pissed at Nicholas for declining to back out from the plan but, at the same time, I was even more pissed at myself for letting this happen. Nicholas wouldn’t have got his hopes up in getting Lindsey to fall for him if I hadn’t convinced him that he would be the only temptation she couldn’t resist. I also should’ve thought this through before making a decision that I would probably regret soon. I guess I never learned from my mistakes.&nbs

Chapter 91: We're Just Friends
I looked back and forth between Lindsey and barbie in confusion. This wasn’t a coincidence that they were both in the same area right now, looking at each other as if they were communicating with their mind. Just seeing barbie plaster a smug face, made me grit my teeth and clench my jaw. And the more I thought about how they’d plan to set me up but practically failing because I aimed at Lindsey, it was making me feel more infuriated. I wasn’t a fool to not realize this trap Lindsey hauled me in, and they should be thankful that it didn’t work so I wouldn’t come after them.

Chapter 92: Last Goodbye
I glanced at Danny beside me and saw a smile already plastered on his face. My eyes glimmered as the emotions started to surge in. All the pain heaved in my chest for the past few days had finally been lifted out and I could finally breathe with relief.  I looked back at Liam as he stood a few feet away from me. With yearning and anticipation, I ran towards him and he just stood dumbfounded with his feet glued to the ground. Though he was completely caught off-guard, when I laced my arms around his neck, he pulled me in a tight hug. His warmth was

Chapter 93: It's Okay
Liam pulled up in front of our house as I stared distantly to through the windshield. My hands were tightly gripping my pleated skirt while I tried to steady my breathing as silence consumed us. No one talked. He didn’t want to budge. So I flicked my eyes beside me and towards him, tugging a faint smile before sighing. “Once I step out of this car, everything that happened between us will remain a memory,” I started, breaking the silence inside his car.

Chapter 94: Deciding Date
“Tomorrow is the homecoming,” Amanda enthusiastically said, clapping her hands together as Emma and I both stared at her. “I can’t wait to wear the dress they’d sponsored me.” “You’re so excited about wearing the dress while I’m looking forward to the homecoming after-party. It will be so fun.” Emma nudged me to my side as I shifted away from her.

Chapter 95: Pre-Homecoming
“What?!” I exclaimed, feeling the heat starting to surge in.  Danny ran his hand through his disheveled hair as I started to frown at him. “It just slipped out of my tongue while we were having a conversation about you. I mean&mdas

Chapter 96: Finding Out
After Emma exhausted us from decorating their entire house for the party, we went to our houses to change our outfits and to prepare for the night. In this case, I needed to ask my parents for permission to go out tonight though I highly doubt they would let me. But if they didn’t, escape was my only option. I swung the door of the foyer open and stepped inside the house. I returned home late again, or maybe just later than our usual school dismissal time. Mom and Dad usually got home between nine or ten and, as soon as they arrived, they either w

Chapter 97: Catch Him
I went back to my room right after what Dad had told me in the dining area. My heart that was once thumping from nervousness was now replaced by anger towards Dad. I couldn’t stand them and I was so tired of complying that I tried to continuously lash out from their grasp because they never treated me like a daughter. They treated their child as a retirement plan and it was such a shame. I detested it when they verbally abuse me to feed my sister’s ego so she could downgrade me more. They should be grateful that I was able to put up with so much that I hadn’t thought of retaliating. I respected them though I knew they were crossing the line and I was having a hard time understanding their expectations towards me. I was a human being after all and I wasn’t perfect.

Chapter 98: Party? Everybody?
We arrived at Emma’s house that was already jam-packed with a lot of people. The stench of alcohol immediately made its way to my nose that made me grimace. The loud music resounding through the place sent thuds in my chest as my eyes lingered around to see everyone, seemingly tipsy. Emma’s furniture was pushed to the side so there were enough rooms for people to squeeze in. They were all dancing, others were already making out in the corner, some were playing beer pong, and most of them were in the backyard, dancing in the beat of the music.
