Chapter 30: Proposal And Marriage
Matthew had set off to meet Rose. Yuki had made a deal with him to find out why Cecilia was acting strange. It was also out of her own curiosity. She arrived in front of Cecilia's room. Yuki knocked but there was no answer. She knocked again, still none. Yuki tried the doorknob next. It clicked open. ‘Not locked?’ Yuki gently opened the door while peeking inside. “Cecilia? Are you in here?” There was no answer as well. Yuki proceeded to enter the room. The room was dark. No one was there. However Yuki did take the time to admire the room. “Phew~ her room is big. And fancy. Where is she?” Yuki walked around the gloomy room. There were no signs of Cecilia anywhere in the room. Yuki cupped her chin, thinking where Cecilia could be. She stopped by the window, perhaps hoping to find her in the yard. It was too dark for Yuki to s

Chapter 31: Forgotten Memory
A little girl walked down the street. Alone. She was just on her way back home from playing with her friends. Her home was not far, but in this bustling city, it was still pretty hard to find a way back. She could always manage to find a way back home by remembering the landmarks. She just had to look for Cassie's Bakery, then head left, then look for the grocery store, then her house should be within view. She could make it home if she can find those two buildings, but this time she can't. The bakery had been moved to another location, so the girl could not find the way back. She got lost. She became sad and she cried. After a few minutes of crying, a group of people came to her. The group consists of two men and a woman. The men wore luxurious suits of black. The woman wore what seemed to be business attire. The woman kneeled down in front of the girl, then tried to comfort her

Chapter 32: Observation
The sun had made its way to a quarter of the sky. Only a few hours left until noon. The clouds only slightly covered the sun from casting its blazing heat onto the creatures below. Beefaloes roamed the field, grazing on grass in their herd. A nearby river flowed gently from the mountain tops all the way down hill. Suddenly, an arrow pierced the ground. As soon as a beefalo noticed it, it immediately made a run for it. Seeing their herd member running, the others soon followed behind without reason. They all ran downhill in panic without thinking about anything else. In the distance beyond what the beasts could see, two small figures wiggled about on the ground. The two figures then pulled out a rope that was tied with  a stick on both ends and they stabbed it into the ground, creating a tripwire. The figures immediately retreated back to the sides. It was only a matter of moments until the beefa

Chapter 33: Planning
“Those goblins are camped here.” Matthew said as he pressed his finger on the map that was laid out. “There’s a little cliff here with fences around it. Then there’s a cave entrance at the back here. That’s possibly where they’re sleeping and that’s also where we’ll attack them.”   Rose and Yuki were standing opposite of Matthew at the table. Yuki observed the map and also the points that Matthew pointed at. Rose had her arms crossed.   “So what’s the plan?” Rose asked.   “These goblins really aren’t your average ones. They seem to have a system in their group. Which means that they have a leader. Their leader is probably a hobgoblin, I can’t be sure though,” Matthew said.   Matthew took a short breath before continuing. “We’ll attack them at noon, when they are most probably asleep. They would have two guards staying at the entrance and another four on patrol not far from the fence. We’ll move silen

Chapter 34: The Visit
A day before Matthew, Rose and Yuki embarked on their quest. Cecilia was there with her father to see them off. “Good luck on your quest, all of you.” Gustav said as an inspiration to them. Matthew replied with a simple, “thank you.” “Be careful out there.” Cecilia said in worry. “Don’t worry. We’ll be fine. Are you sure you don’t wanna come too?” Cecilia fidgeted nervously as she spoke. “Well, I want to but… Mister Phillip is coming over, so I can’t really pass this opportunity either.” “It’s up to you. But maybe you should prioritize meeting your fiance. I mean, I guarantee you that we’ll have loads more quests to do in the future, but marriage is probably a once in a lifetime choice.” Matthew said. Cecilia let out a sigh.

Chapter 35: Goblin Ambush
The sun was high in the sky as three Hunters silently made their way through the forest. The forest was not so dense, it provided more sight and also decreased the chances of getting ambushed by monsters. Matthew was in the lead as he was the one that knows the location of the goblin nest. Yuki and Rose followed not too close behind him. “We're getting close now.” Matthew said to them. As he said it, the fences were visible from where they were. With that now in sight, Matthew halted his steps. “Up ahead. On that cliff.” Matthew said while gesturing with his chin. “So now what?” Rose asked. “We’ll proceed as planned. I’ll go ahead while you cover me. After that, we’ll head inside.” “Okay.” “Yuki, just stay here. We’ll holler at y

Chapter 36: Negotiation
Yuki was waiting outside while Matthew and Rose headed inside the goblin infested cave. Yuki sat on a stone that was placed by a campfire as she waited for Matthew and Rose to return. A few minutes passed already while she was waiting. Yuki was starting to get bored. She swung her legs back and forth as she hummed a little melody by herself. “Hmm~ Hmmm~ I wonder how they are doing?” Just then, she suddenly shot up from the stone and pulled out her bow as she aimed at the bushes. Her eyes squinted a bit to focus down her aim. ‘Must be goblins. Their sense of smell probably already picked up the smell of blood.’ Yuki was just about to fire her arrow as she was sure, until whatever was hiding behind the bushes called out to her. “Wait! Don’t shoot!” “Who goes there?” Yuki immediately asked.

Chapter 37: I Want To Save You Too
It felt cold. Perhaps it was night time. There were also sounds of people talking. Where was it coming from? “Uhhn…” Rose slowly opened her eyes, a dim light from a candle only slightly illuminated the surrounding. She looked to her left and then to her right. A wooden building. Under her was a bed. She’s been to this place before. “The village?” Rose shot up into a sitting position. She got off the bed and opened the door to outside. There was apparently a party going on. Rose could stare stupefyingly at the scene. People drinking around, chatting about, laughing, children running and also one particular figure who was just sitting at a table with a couple of other women., Yuki. Rose made her way to Yuki who seemed to be having a good time with the women. As soon as she got to the location, Rose tapped on Yuki’s shoulder.

Chapter 38: Noble Date & Yuki Shopping
In the streets of the Western Omni region, two figures walked together side by side like a couple on their honeymoon. They definitely seemed to be enjoying their time. They ate deserts, went to the arcade, chatted and laughed. Phillip and Cecilia seemed very close now. Around noon, they were back at Cecilia’s mansion. They did not take the carriage or any vehicles nor did they bring any maids or butlers. They only wanted to enjoy their time between them. They were currently at the front gate where Phillip’s carriage to take him back to his mansion was parked. “Thank you for taking me out today as well.” Cecilia bowed. Phillip also bowed. “And thank you for coming with me. I must go now, see you again Cecilia.” Phillip was about to step into his carriage, when someone was suddenly shouting. “Hey! Cecilia! We’re back~!”&

Chapter 39: Infiltration
The night was still and cold as gushes of wind blew past the city. Clatters from cats knocking over things, barks from dogs that guarded houses and silent footsteps of two people running and jumping from roof to roof. The figures were wearing black outfits. Then they stopped for a bit when they were close to their destination. The front gate was guarded by two soldiers as well a few more groups patrolling the area outside and the inside. Security was tight as what to be expected of a Noble’s home. However, that would not stop the acts of the two figures. One of them held out its hand. Out of thin air, a crossbow appeared in its hand and it was also already loaded with a hooked arrow along with a long rope. It aimed down the sight, aiming for the iron veranda of the mansion. The trigger was pulled and the arrow flew over the fence and stuck itself on the iron bars. The figure tugged on the rope to make sure it was s
