[11] PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE
“Aramide! Aramide! Please listen to me!” Cole's yells echoed throughout the streets as he ran after me,   I alternated between wiping my tears and trying to get a taxi, I felt used,  pathetic, and stupid,  once again, once again I had let someone play with me. Why? Why didn't I just stick to my career? Why? Why did I have to fall in love with the wrong person,  all over again?                “Aramide,” he said again,  as he managed to catch up and held my arm,  and in a split second my palm collided with his face.    “don't touch me” I gritted out through my teeth   “Oh my gosh!  Aramide where are you? Cole just—”   “Y-you knew?”   “For how long have you known?” I asked my heart breaking,  begging for the answer to be different f

She was completely frozen, It had been two years, yet that voice sounded the same, deep, not too high pitched but loud enough to draw attention.   "Thanks," I began, Immediately catching his attention "Thanks for everything" I finished.   "We're gonna meet my parents tomorrow, Are you excited?"    "More than I can ever express!" I giggled.         Bola's words echoed in my head, but I tossed them to the back of my head, I wanted to be happy, to enjoy these moments, to relish the beauty of the beach, I just wanted to relax, for a while         "Are you alright?" Aramide heard a voice speak, for a moment there she thought she had heard her Cole's vo

[14] EVERY LITTLE MOMENT COUNTS
Aramide exited her car the moment she pulled into the driveway, she shoved past her maids and workers and went straight up to her room, the dark-skinned beauty locked the door and slid down it. She sat there, not speaking, or making a sound, just letting all the tears she had bottled up over the years slip down her eyes. All the memories barged into her mind, breaking through the security she had built over the years.             Aramide felt raw, exposed, and vulnerable. A feeling she had sworn she would never feel again. Guilt tugged on her, she didn't want to feel this way, she was betraying herself, just by failing to keep to the rules she set for herself. She wiped a tear off her face as realization hit her; Coming back to London was the worst decision had ever made. Loving Cole still topped the list though. At this rate, she would have an epistle.

[15] EVERYTHING AND MORE
"Coming!" Aramide whispered as she rushed back into her bathroom. She washed off the tear tracks on her face and tried to practice her best smile in front of her broken mirror but failed miserably. She shrugged. Oh well.    She changed out of her dress into some jeans and a big tee shirt, she sighed as she walked up to the door, her hand lingered on the handle and for a moment there, she debated locking herself up in there, hiding from the reality that always awaited her the moment she left the room. Still, she braced herself as she opened the door only to be met by familiar green orbs    "Daniel," she said in a heavy tone. "Now is not a good time" she finished her eyes threatening to spill tears   Daniel smiled sadly "since when has it ever been a good time? Life isn't that generous Clarissa" he replied and they locked eyes for a moment before Aramide broke the eye contact   "Why are you h

[16] CHANCES
“thank you” Aramide whispered as she pulled herself from the well-needed hug Daniel had given her, the man only gave her a small smile as he sat on the ground Indian style, Aramide chuckled. Daniel raised an eyebrow seemingly confused as to what was amusing.   “W-why are you staring at me like that?” He asked as his eyebrows creased in confusion.           Aramide chuckled once again before sitting in an Indian style too, very aware of Daniel's eye digging into her skin, the melanin beauty finally caught her breath and spoke up “don't mind me,” she began with a small smile, “It's not every day you see a white billionaire sitting on the ground Indian style”           Daniel bit his lip at the racist remark and even though he wanted to say a lot, he knew nothing could change society's view, besides how could he change society when his household was racist, Aramide must have sensed t

[17] BONDS
Silence fell on both of them, only the sound of the breeze hitting their clothes, and the loud silence between them could be heard. Daniel bit his lip, He had probably realized that this was a bad idea   “it's okay if you don't want to talk about it, I would understand, that was so insensitive of me to ask, just because I told you about my past. I think I have overstayed my welcome, good—" He rambled.   "Wait," Aramide said before Daniel could take enough steps to the door. He froze just a few steps past her, his eyes still glued to the door, he knew asking such a question was a bad idea and he still did. He had no idea why he did it — why he asked the dreaded question, He was sure Aramide would not talk to him anymore. He had messed up. though Aramide's next words shocked him.   "I - I fell in love..." She trailed off, cutting through Daniel's trial of torturous thoughts as he glanced over at her, only to see she had he

“What’s wrong Cole?” Bola asked.           She had just arrived home and had headed up the stairs to check on her son when she caught sight of Cole.
