Chapter 181: Merry-Go-Round
Before I knew it, the sky had turned dark. I am at a fountain at the end of the street, I sit on the black marble fountain basin with a bottle of opened beer next to me. I look at the bottle of beer, finding it is still almost full. Bitterly I chuckle at myself. Now I know how bad it is to be a man who is not able to drink. I don’t want to stay in my penthouse, or the bar, or anywhere filled with people I know. I want to be by myself just with a bottle of beer that can allow me to forget things. But I can’t drink in public. I’ll start to undress myself. I am a miserable man, yet I can’t even drink… How much sadder can it be?

Chapter 182: Stained In Fruit Juice
I spent the following days waiting for Jamie to return my call. On the other hand, as my boss, Jamie hasn’t yet fired me, so technically, I am still her secretary. Although it was the weekend, I reported to work as usual. Not as Henrietta Chandelier anymore, but as Henry. The big Donald Duck plush I won from the funfair last night, I brought it here and placed it on Jamie’s couch. I wasn’t trying to please her with that, it’s just, I knew she likes Donald Duck, and I want her to be happy, that’s all. Jamie hasn’t been showing up in Minerva, yet I bought her favorite ristretto and grape wine lamb and porcini lasa

Chapter 183: Switched Off
“Daniella…” I called her from behind as I caught her red handed, “What are you doing with my phone?” I questioned in a dubious tone. “Henry…” while Daniella puts up a smile on her face as she sees me, “I was just checking  your phone, it is bad if the juice destroys it, right?” she then passes the phone to me, “But it’s all fine. I’ve wiped it for you, as clean as new. Here you go.” I remain my eyes on Daniells for a second before I take my phone back. I unlock it and check my phone, nothing abnormal is going on. My phone is fine, it seems like what she said was true, she didn’t touch it, she was just checking if the juice caused damage to it. Moreover, she wasn’t hiding wh

Chapter 184: Notifications and Messages
The rain became so heavy when we were done eating and walked out of the restaurant. People walk along the street with umbrellas in their hands, while we stay under the canvas awning outside the restaurant. We look at the rain pouring down, the cold wind blows and wraps us up. Before we know it we are standing so close together to provide each other some warmth. I insert both of my hands into my jeans pocket. In my head, I start to think about Jamie again. I wonder what she is doing right now… Will she feel cold? Does the cold weather make her feel uncomfortable? Is there someone by her side to warm her up and take care of her? Will she think of me at a time like this?  …

Chapter 185: Filthy Tricks
It was the moment when I walked out of the bathroom after I cleaned my stained clothes in Juicy Punch, I saw Daniella holding my phone in her hands, she was looking at the screen… It happened then, didn’t it? Jamie’s message came in at the time when I was in the bathroom cleaning my clothes, and Daniella saw Jamie’s message come in. As she makes the payment for the umbrella at the cashier, I give her smiling face a glance. Daniella Greaves… She said she was just checking if the fruit juice that splashed across the table destroyed my phone, but the truth is... She saw

Chapter 186: In The Rain
It was past midnight when I finally arrived at the garden in front of Minerva. The rain is still pouting, and I still have the black umbrella in my hand. Although it is dark, some of the lights from the buildings nearby help light my way up when I search for Jamie. It took me quite a while before I found a lady in a light pink dress among the bushes of flowers. In the pouring rain, she squats in the middle of the path, with two paper cups in zarf sleeves labeled with the logo of Coffee Bloom are seen in front of her white heels. She hugs her arms and buried her face on her knees that are covered under her wet dress. She shivers in the cold wind as the rain

Chapter 187: After Rain
The next morning, I woke up from a chair that I pulled from my dining room and placed next to the bed. I slept with my head resting on the bed and my waist bent for the whole night. I feel so sore when I sit back straight up. I give a deep yawn as I stretch my body, then a sneeze follows. I feel cold, I take a deep sniffle as I feel my nose runny, and I feel a little pain in my eyes as I rub them with my fists.  I open my eyes and look at Jamie who is still in her sleep in my bed. I adjust the blanket for her, covering her shoulders. I wonder if she feels better by now? As I ponder, I pick up the tympanic thermometer from the night table and carefully insert the probe into her ear. I pressed the start button an

Chapter 188: Is You
For the rest of the day, we didn’t go to work. Jamie stays at my place to take more rest, and I stay to take care of her. Victor invited me to a party happening tonight at his weekend house, yet I rejected his invitation. I took care of Jamie throughout the day——changing her towels, taking her temperature, making sure she took the pills, making sure her fever went down, cooking her some porridge and feeding her. During the rest of the time, I watch her favorite TV show with her, help her out coping with the phone calls from work, though that includes answering Dylan Watkin’s phone call in order to make him jealous. Time flies, the sky turns dark very quickly.

Chapter 189: Hickeys
The next morning, Jamie had her butler deliver her clothes to my penthouse. She changed to her working attire before we headed to Minerva together. As she arrives in her office and sees the chocolates and bottled jujube tea that I put on her desk in the past few days, her expression turns bright, a smile cracks on her face. “Jujube tea, and tons of chocolates!” like a happy child she cheered, “How come you got me so many of these?” Complacently, I smile at her, “I believe it is time you’re on period.” Whereas Jamie blows her fringe as she picks the chocolates up, “Right. Supposingly.

Chapter 190: The CEO's Boyfriend I
Not that I am unreasonable, I understand that anyone can come to Jamie’s office, colleagues, family, friends… But Dylan Watkins?  NO THANKS. If there is one last person I would want to see coming into Jamie’s office, it should be him. It must be him. It can’t be anyone else but him! Ugh! Dylan Watkins! I hate him so much! And now here he is! Damn it! What is he doing here in my girlfriend’s office!? As I feel my ears on fire and smoke co
