Chapter 21
“Amira?” The young goddess’ ears perked up after hearing Morgan calling her. She immediately turned away from the pavilion and ran towards the direction heading to the Pond of Living. Morgan is the only secret she has kept from her mother. She was afraid that once she learned that she was able to communicate with someone from the living realm, she would forbid her from doing it too. She doesn’t have any friends and she had no one else to talk to aside from Morgan. She didn’t know what she would do if ever she would lose her only friend. She carefully looked around before she sat by the pond where she can hear endless chants and voices of enchantresses addressing the concerns of their people. Amira stared at the rippling waters that showed the reflection of the glowing fireflies above it. “Amira?” “I’m here.” She answered while she’s staring at the water in front of her, trying to figure out how the Goddess of Goodwill uses th

Chapter 22
“Morgan's face contorted as his face flinched away from his mother's hands. She was currently tending to his wounds.Since his wolf had left him, Morgan also lost the ability to heal quickly. Much to his dismay. He couldn't hide the injuries he got and can only lie to his family when asked where he got those.“Can you at least watch where you're going next time? Your wounds don't heal fast anymore, Morgan. Who knows if this would leave you with a scar?” Calliope scolded as she carefully nabs a cotton swab on the corners of Morgan's eyebrow.“Sorry, Ma. I’ll be more careful next time,” he said with a consoling smile. Calliope just shook her head and continued to take care of his wounds.“How were the hunters treating you?” she asked as she started to keep the things she had used.Morgan froze for a while, not knowing how to answer his mother’s question. In the end, he had forced himself to smile

Chapter 23
Morgan wiped the sweat on his forehead with the back of his hands before he resumed pushing the wheelbarrow filled with soil that would be used in planting. The bright sun glaring over him, he pushed through his way back to the packhouse. He can feel his body burning as he shook his head, struggling to get rid of the blurry vision he’s currently seeing. It was drought season and the Crescent Walkers are having a hard time coping up with the scarcity of water. The soil nearby their territory was also starting to deteriorate, affecting their crops and other plants they use for the pack’s survival. They had learned about the abundant healthy soil from Nighthill and wanted to ask for cooperation with the wolves living in that part of Serigala. But Nighthill wasn’t an ideal place for just anyone. Among the three territories of Serigala, Nighthill’s the most dangerous above them all. The place was filled with rouges and vicious wolves who were always ready to tear apart an

Chapter 24
The sun was about to rise when Morgan realized that he’s being watched. He looked up at the orange sky while subtly checking out his surroundings. He may not be able to turn but he’s a trained soldier. His whole body suddenly tenses up as his senses became more and more wary of his observers. Observers. There are lots of them. Probably the wolves from Nighthill that had finally caught up with him. He continued walking, pretending like he wasn’t able to sense anything around him but his eyes were all over the place. He’s defenseless, hydrated, starving, and almost on the verge of collapsing. These wolves can easily tear him apart within a second. He’s weak and all he could do was think. He needed to outsmart these beasts in order to survive. Morgan sighed heavily, giving up on thinking of any ways he can outrun the predators around him. He stopped walking and sat on the ground while resting his back on the wheelbarrow’s handle before closing his eyes.

Chapter 25
Five years later...Morgan was panting heavily as he tried to catch up with the wolves. They were fast, but he trained for this. Since he started to realized that he's not like everyone else, he worked hard to be stronger, to be faster. Because he promised Amira that he would be the strongest wolf to protect her, but now that he can't even turn, he can only invest more in himself. He laughed while running as he heard the growls of the wolves behind him. He had outrun some of them and was now catching up with the beta's daughter and Callum who's on the lead."Morgan!" He immediately stopped running and turned to look by the training barracks and waved when he saw Patricio, their packs' zeta."Go ahead!" He called out to the wolves before he ran back to the barracks to meet with their zeta.Patricio had his arms wide opened as he watched the twent

"Morgan, the pack's just starting to accept you again. Don't let this chance--""Ma..." Morgan called out weakly followed by an exasperated sigh before he walked towards his mother and the enchantress who was silently watching him.Calliope took the initiative to close the gap between her and her son as she held his hands tightly before she looked up to him with pleading eyes."Son, you've been working so hard all these years. The pack's finally warming up to you, let's not give them a new reason to hate you, huh?" she pleaded but Morgan just stared at his mother with a sad smile."You just said it. She's finally becoming the moon goddess everyone fears. Morgan, for the love of the moon, please stop communicating with her!" the enchantress joined in.But Morgan just shook his head and smiled at them reassuringly."No one would know

"Tonight, I'll be announcing the cancellation of Morgan as the top candidate for the next alpha position of our pack," Morgan felt his ears rung as soon as he heard his father's words.Romero turned to look at him for a while but immediately look away."See? Even your father can't watch you take on that important role you claimed to have trained for," Morgan balled his fist as he heard Oliver's provoking voice behind him."Well, that's a given. Who, in their right minds, would make you a leader of a pack? You're no longer a werewolf, to begin with," Morgan was all riled up, he was about to turn around and throw this traitor a smack on the face when he suddenly heard Amira's voice calling out to him.Oliver watched him critically as Morgan put down his arms on his side and as if on a daze looked upon the setting sun above them."What are you looking at?" he asked but Morgan just gave him a side glance before walking past him, leaving him watching hi

Goddess Agatha turned around and smiled as she felt Amira’s presence behind her.“Amira... What’s wrong?” she asked worriedly as she saw the rather dark expression on the goddess’ face. Amira just shook her head and walked past her to sit by her usual spot beside the pond.Goddess Agatha raised her hand and the pond immediately showed Morgan sparring with his comrades. Amira immediately felt better after seeing her friend.“Amira,” Goddess Agatha called out. The whole Bulan looks so lively as the young goddesses dance around and perform melodic songs to entertain the fully grown ones. Today is the day that Goddess Celestia would finally step down as the ruler of Bulan and just like how everyone expected, the throne would be passed down to Amira.“I don’t know, Morgan. I don’t know if I can do this. But I don’t want to disappoint my mother,” Amira said as she watched her mother having fun talking with the other goddesses.'That’s why I told you to tell her about what you feel right from the start,' Morgan answered in a soft tone as he laid on his bed.“Easier said than done.” She said as she turned her back from the crowd and walked around the empty halls of the Pavilion of Gratitude while talking to Morgan.“How ‘bout you? When will your father—” befo

“Mother…” Elpis called out as her eyes remained on their enemies. Agatha immediately turned to look at her daughter as she rose from the ground with the help of Celestia. “The Pond of Living,” Elpis said before she gazed at her mother meaningfully. “Morgan…” She uttered in a low voice that only her mother could hear. Agatha’s eyes brightened as she came to realized what her daughter was planning. She turned to look at Amira who was staring at Elpis with a confused expression. She then glanced at the goddess beside her. If what Elpis heard was true, then the only way to save Bulan from the hands of Edana and Viny is to keep Amira alive. “Mother,” Elpis called out once again before the goddess warriors started to attack them. “Mother!” She called out in a harsh manner. Agatha wanted to do just what her d
