Noah was not as cheerful as Michael but his words sure had magic or was it just her who was experiencing all the new things in this new place. Maria just chuckled lightly at Michael’s childish behavior and turned her attention back to the race. The race was at its endpoint but the events took a turn and at the very last moment Noah surpassed Jacob, it was more like they were at the same positions and soon they reached the finishing line touching the corners. Everybody was anxious as to what the result was because in the audience's eyes Noah and Jacob touched the wall at the same time but the winner could be one and that would be decided by their scores. 

Noah could not stop himself from letting out small laughs at the bickering of his two fellow classmates in front of him.  "Woah, it's a rare sight. Ha-ha-ha-ha." Michael said and starting to laugh himself as well.    Looking at those two laughing at basically nothing, Maria could not stop herself and burst into a peal of laughter as well. I see." she said crossing her arms and looking at him with her squinted eyes. He started to laugh awkwardly but his laughter had that piercing kind of tone, one could describe it as a dying whale’s scream. He had not arranged his stuff till now because there were two desks in the room but originally the room belonged to Maria so she had occupied both of them and still had not cleared one for Noah. She felt guilty and for that too as she was rude to him even when he just handed her his handkerchief, so she started to remove things from one of the tables.
