Bk 3, Ch 7: Kamron
“How is it a party without dancing?” Rose pouted as we finished searching the house for the source of music. When we found it, we were disappointed to find that the room was the dining room. Nothing but people milling around a table filled with chips, pretzels, and candy.  “I don’t know, Rose. My guess is that our host is just not into dancing,” I shrugged. She put her head on my shoulder as we walked around. “We could always find out what happened with Kimi and Ray?” I looked around, and glanced at Rose. Her face was turned up to mine, and was searching it for an agreement or another idea. I didn’t have another idea. Well, I did, but it could wait until we were back at the apartment. Now that we were pretty much living to

Bk 3, Ch 8: Kimia
We had returned back to the apartment before Nate and Jimmy. While Kam and Rose went to bed, I stayed up and worried. They came back while I was in the middle of a movie, and half awake on the couch. “I thought you guys went to a party,” Jimmy said when he and Nate came in. Nate came over, and lifted me up so my head could rest on his lap. “We went to the party, I hustled my cousin, and found out that GLE is biased against non-shifters,” I mumbled without taking my eyes off of the television. “Damn,” Jimmy said. “All that happened before we even got home.” Nate was stroking my hair, and it was very soothing and distracting. My eyes closed on their own, and I yawned. &l

Bk 3, Ch 9: Nate
It had been a week since Kimi and Rose moved in, and I loved it! There was just something amazing about waking up to the touch of the woman I love every morning, and going to bed with her every night. Kimi hasn’t unpacked everything, since she’s still planning on joining that shit sorority, but I’ve grown to love her nightly routine. Now living with Rose was an experience unto itself since she started to control her shifting. The day before school started, she was looking for something in the fridge, and all I could see when I came into the kitchen was her ass with a tiger’s tail. “What are you looking for, tiger?” I asked her with a smirk.  She straightened up, and spun around. Her tail hit the counter with a thwack. “Damnit!&r

Bk 3, Ch 10: Rose
“Rose! Kimi! You made it!” Sarina shouted when she saw us enter the sorority house. Kimi laughed and hugged her sister. “Of course we made it! We’re serious about joining GLE.” “Besides, we’ve only seen your room and the living room,” I reminded her. She laughed. “Come on. I’ll introduce you around and see how many girls remember you. I think one of the other legacies is here, too.” She took us toward the kitchen, and the dining room where about ten girls were gathered. “Hey, everyone! These are my sisters, Kimia and Rose. Kimi, Rose, this is Ami, Bethany, Lauren, Evan, Amy P, Jessi, Julie, Annika, and Tamora. Did I get everyone’s names ri

“Okay, ladies! Thank you all for coming out for our Rush Run With The Wolves,” Chelsea’s voice echoed across the quad thanks to the obnoxious bull horn she held to her lips. “I am so excited to see what our newcomers' pelts look like, and how fast we can race!”  I rolled my eyes. “She realizes that there are a few girls here that are not shifters, right?” I whispered to Ami. Ami had a scowl on her face, and was staring daggers at our fearless leader. “She knows,” Ami growled. Kimi and Rose looked back from the spot where they were standing. The girls who had applied for membership were at the front of the group, and all looked excited, except for Rose. She looked a little worried. I made my way over to my sister and

Bk 3, Ch 12: Rayan
“Woooo,” one of my frat brothers ran past me wearing a bedsheet as a toga. I had to laugh. He was already drunk, as well as most of our potential pledges. I lost track of Kam an hour earlier. Since the point of the party was to build trust and friendship between potential brothers, I had to leave him on his own.  Rina came up beside me with a bottle of water in her hand. “I see Frankie is giving everyone the introduction to Greek life they deserve,” she said, amused. “Yeah. I doubt he’ll be the only guy racing through the party wearing very little,” I said back. “You and your sorority sisters did an awesome job setting up.” Rina shrugged. “We just reused the same shitty stuff from last year for decorations, and

“Allright, pups! Tonight we party and have fun!” Jake was giving all of us potential pledges a pep talk before the party got into full swing. “I don’t want you guys to worry about anything. Your future brothers and I are going to make sure you will be taken care of, and that you trust us. So,” he lined up shot glasses in front of us, “I’m asking you all to get shitfaced, and have fun. If you don’t want to get shitfaced, it won’t count against you. Well, unless you keep a stick up your ass, but I don’t think any of you have one of those.” We all chuckled at his lame joke. I had never drank before, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to now. What would my mom think? She’s not here. What would Rose think? I looked at the shot glass in front of me. There was a first time for everything, Ray and Kimi seem to handle alcohol fin

A knock sounded at our apartment door while I was studying in Nate’s room. It was pretty fun to just be there and have his scent surround me, but we’re way too young to be moving in together for a long term thing.  I got up and went to answer the door, and found my sister on the other side. “Rose,” I called down the hall, “Rina is here!” I let Rina in, and we settled on the couch in the living area. She pulled out her laptop and set it up on the coffee table. Rose came staggering down the hall yawning and stretching. She was wearing a pair of sleep shorts and one of Kam’s t-shirts. “Did you find them?” “Yup,” Rina said, popping the “p.”

Bk 3, Ch 15: Sarina
“Now that Sarina has graced us with her presence, we can begin the process of selection!” I burst into the media room to find everyone else already gathered, and Chelsea at the front with her laptop connected to the television. There was an image on the screen with pink background, and the words, “Potential Sisters,” was surrounded with various flowers and vines. It was cute, and very basic. Just like Chelsea. “By all means,” I said with a smile, “Thanks for waiting.” I took a seat on the floor next to Andrea, a senior majoring in history with dark red hair, and gray eyes. I’m pretty sure we’re distant cousins, but we haven’t figured out which ancestor we have in common.  “Where were you,” she whispered.

Saturday morning came, and I was comfortably sleeping in with Kimi next to me, probably for the last time for a while since she was accepted into Gamma Lambda Eta, when my phone started ringing. I was not happy about that. Who the fuck calls someone on a Saturday morning? Kimi murmured next to me, and nudged me to answer the ghastly thing. I groaned and rolled over to reach my phone. “This had better be my mother or an emergency, because if it’s not, I’m hanging up,” I grumbled with my eyes closed. A low chuckle greeted me from the other end of the call. “Don’t hang up on me, kid. It’s not an emergency, but I do need to talk to you without your dad around.” “Uncle Micky? What’s going on?” I rolled out of bed,
