“Good morning, Mrs. King. Breakfast.” Rosa said as she sat the tray down in front of her.“Thank you.” She said as she sat up and carefully slid the tray in her direction as Rosa quickly left the room.She took the top off of her plate. It was full of fresh fruit and a couple of strips of bacon. She was reminded of Nick waking her up every morning with sweet kisses and a nice pancake breakfast they shared, as they laughed and talked about what outdoor things they could explore for the day. They had shared a simple life and she had loved every moment of it. They had lived in a Yurt, hunting and fishing for their meals. She had gotten back to her roots. Elayna felt dizzy then, but chalked it up to her emotions running high from all of the questions she had just been asked. The drive home was brutally quiet. She didn't know how her husband was feeling about how the interrogation went. “You’re Pregnant.” Dr. Thompson announced to Elayna. She was in shock. She was pregnant...with Nick's baby. She couldn't’ deny their carelessness with birth control.
