Chapter 51: A Smile Is Enough To Feel The Void
"Ali what happened!" I screamed and called her name, the camera started playing as she ran towards me from the pool.  "Ate, help my goggles fall in the pool!" she said and pulled me frantically.  "I see, where did you drop it?" I asked.  "There!" she said and pointed at the deepest part of the pool.  "Ok, don't worry, Ate's going to get it," I said and tousled her hair.  I dived into the pool and quickly found the goggles laying on the corner. I successfully brought it back to the floor and as soon as I rose up from the pool, standing on the near edge of it, I heard a voice.

Chapter 52: A Step Closer To You
Everything is going well, and Ali is warming up to Jaiden. As for me, I still have some reservations for him. I know he is a douche but I guess he is entirely not a bad guy.  Maybe it's alright to open up to him for a bit.  "Yow, how ya' doin'?" he asked as he sat beside me.  "Nothing much, just filming the pool..." I said.  "You seem to love filming things…" he said.  "Nah, it's just a way to express myself. I just find it normal to view the world in a third-person perspective. I don't usually include myself in the scene. Basically I think of myself as a viewer rather than a character." I said.

Chapter 53: Matty Has A Plan B
A day had passed, and it seems her parents are not oblivious to Matty's sudden disappearance. Truthfully, they already had a clue where she might've been so they didn't opt to call the police as it could alert Mariano who has enormous connections in the police hierarchy.  I really wish to tell Irene yesterday that I'm Caroline but the situation doesn't call for it. Also, she is already busy coordinating with Black Wolf about the transfer of her parents' grave here in Capital City. I think I should put that on hold for now, what's important right now is Matty's safety.  I went to the campus earlier to double check but it seems that she really had been missing for two days. I also didn't go to the campus for almost two days, and also a few more days before that. But no one seems to care, well that doesn't matter

Chapter 54: Confessions Of A Melancholic
That time I was thinking whether to continue confessing or just brush it off. Normally I would brush it off but there's a part of me that longs to say it.  I looked at her and then tell her, "Ah, nevermind… just forget abou— I'm actually Caroline!"  I shouted.  "Say what again? Irene fumbled. "Well, I'm not exactly Caroline if I consider it…" "Wait! Mimi…"  "To be more accurate, I was the one who created the account! I was the one who messed things up without meaning to…"

Chapter 55: Call A Friend
"M-Matty!" I screamed in astonishment.  Truly I was happy to see her that moment. Her caramel skin, her brownish hair. Those eyes that glimmer like an amethyst crystal. She is a breath of fresh air.  However, seeing a group of guards surrounding her made me a bit reserved so I wished not to bother her. But before I could even excuse myself, I was suddenly ambushed by a warm hug from Matty.  That moment I figured out that she needed me right now, so I hugged her back, "I missed you, girl!"  "Me too!"  "Miss Matty…" a PSG suddenly voiced out her concern.

Chapter 56: Cover Girl
"Mimi, come here… you need to see this!" Irene pulled me unaware of her enthusiasm. "Wait, Irene… I was busy answering some inquiries—"  "Later with that, this one is definitely more important." she chuckled.  I looked her in the eye and with a dignified flare, I barked, "It better be good, or all 82 of my pending inquiries will haunt you at night!" "Yes, I know…" she said, and even though I was complaining she still continued to lug me downstairs.  "Now what?" I said as soon as we arrived at the base of the stairs. The place was silent, and a few awkward stares came looking at me. Well, not until Athena came entering the hall slowly, holding some sort of&helli

Chapter 57: All Is Well
We soon arrived, and the place did not disappoint. It's cozy enough to be comfortable yet still brimming with sophistication. When we walked towards the entrance, a lady happily escorted us to our tables, and saw three familiar faces who had already arrived before us. "Tatay, you're already here!" I said, sitting beside him. On the other hand, the others quickly chose their own seats and with the awkward silence, all stared at each other like they were trying to discern what the others had in mind.  "Thank you for inviting us to such a dinner, Mayor Fernandez… *cough*. I hope we will be able to maintain the prosperity of the city, even in the future," I said and tried to raise my glass.  Suddenly, Matty, who was situated on my left, escaped a l

Chapter 58: Unforeseen Crisis
"Yow! Irene looked at this!" Athena greeted Irene as soon as she locked eyes with her, "Isn't it beautiful!?" Irene stared at the poster once again, printed in it was herself wearing a white blouse and brown pleated skirt while holding a book, beside her is Jaiden wearing a uniform similar to hers, only that it is tailor for males. To be frank, the white polo shirt and brown trousers he is wearing really suited him well.  "Ah…. yes, but isn't it a bit bigger than it's supposed—"  "What are you talking about? It's just the perfect size!" Athena said to tease her.  "Well, suit yourself, it's not as if my opinion matters here anyway," Irene flatly confessed.

Chapter 59: A Leap Of Faith
We took the ride home, and Jaiden suddenly glanced at me for a moment. He quickly turned ahead and focused on the road, "Mimi, about earlier… when you said that you were not ready yet…. You are not rejecting me, haven't you? I mean, you are saying that I still have a chance with you in the near future."  To be honest, I was startled by his question, but I tried to answer him nonetheless, "Wait, Jaiden, why did you suddenly ask," I said. "Well, I'm quite anxious…. I'm not sure if you want me to wait for you to clear your thoughts or you wanted me to let go. I want to know if you think that we could become more than friends." When I heard that, I realized that it was going to be unfair to let him wait for me in vain. So I need to give hi

Chapter 60: Matty Needs Help
"Did you already reach her?" I asked, holding my phone that continuously rang for a few minutes. "No, it just keeps telling me that her number is unavailable!" Irene said frantically, "I even tried to call the sender of the message but it's also not responding." "Mayor Erwin is also unavailable at the moment, should we go tell the police?" I asked her.  "It's too risky, we still don't know what kind of danger she is in. It might as well be a trap…" Irene concluded.  "Yes, you're right. But at least we must do something," I said. "I know, there is a risk but I think we need our friends' right now." "Then we will need profession
