70. I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE PART I
My hands ran through my hair so many times my fingers were cut with the blood rushing through skin but I cared none. My fingers came back to my lips, brushing them over the soft skin with the memory coming ten folds, a memory I did not want to have. What had he been thinking? I wanted to groan but my head immediately shot to the king, a bulging form under the sheets. His soft groans graced my ears reminding me of the abandonment that had taken place. The guilt came like a whole bucket of cold water just washing over me. I smelt of Brum, I tasted of Brum. My hands quickly falling from my face as my feet quickly pat through the room and all I could do was to thank the goddess that Conri was still unconscious. He was already having difficulty with the idea of me and Brum then to find out that something did actually happen. The water ran through the shower head with such force, the steam immediately rising as I peeled off the clothes from my bod

71. I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE PART II
I hit the ground running. Nothing would hold me back. The king was already way ahead and I could not let him go alone. He was tearing through the land in a way I had never seen him do. I thought I was the fastest runner in the realm but I guess I was not. The king was something else. His anger or his crazy pushed him to run in a way I would have thought impossible for a wolf. His hind legs were as if floating in the air, barely seeing them touch. His body moved so gracefully yet he tore through the way like it was nothing. I closed my eyes, bringing forth my inner darkness and let it push me forward. It was like hitting fast forward as I sprung through enough to get me just behind him. I was trying with everything in me to keep up but he was something else. I never would have thought he could be so beastly. Even then he was snapping his teeth, looking as if ready for war. My head picked up, realizing we were nearing the boarder. My chest just went frantic because it did not seem as

72. I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE PART III
Brum was just starting to climb up but he wasn’t as wild as the king, he wasn’t as feral and rouge as the king. Brum still cared if he lived after a fall but seemed all the king wanted and thought of was getting where he wanted no matter what. The wind got harsher as the mountain got steeper and whiter. My bare feet were turning black, the cold deep to my body. I dug, taking up as much as I could from Conri but the temperatures were unbelievable at such altitudes. The wind got more aggressive I thought it would tear my skin, seeing it black with blood ready to sip out. My eyes were closed, saying a thousand prayers to the moon goddess to protect us.

73. SHARED BEDS
I will honestly say that seeing Brum like that traumatized me. It just showed me how I could not even fathom the way he was so broken inside. The relationship suddenly seemed so clear. Conri had always been the protector, always been looking out for his cousin. He was all he had, they loved each other very much. At that point it even seemed as if Conri had been playing the father figure. I wondered what the age difference was. At that point they looked as if they were the same age but the way they acted around each other, Conri seemed to be way older. I kept my cries low, wiping my tears as best as I could but they just kept coming to a point I felt like I would shutter from such hurt and sadness. Brum cried until he stopped, pulling away from Conri who still pat him, brushing his back. The silence spread, both of them staring at each of their past with it looking back at them. Brum bent over, collecting all the bones ba

74. PUNISHMENT FOR THE WICKED
The king was deep in it and there was nothing I loved than watching him. All the frown lines, the serious face fell away little by little with him melting away into this beautiful man that stole my heart for the millionth time. I found myself propelled up, my fingers scaredly tracing his face and mapping it out with my finger. His skin was soft with the touch rippling a sensation from my toes to the very top of my head. His lips parted a little, a soft snore pulling out having me smile. Those lips were moist and I could not help but lower and softly place mine against his. It was so nice, basically being a creep on him. He stirred from sleep, his arms coming firmly around me as I shifted down to his neck. He tucked me completely in him then turned to his side with me buried in his chest. I would have laughed because he was deep in sleep and you would think we had slept together for so many years. I sighed, resting with my eyes closing and le

75. THE LAST SUPPER PART I
It was the last supper and I was about to turn things around real quick. What outfit would one wear to that? I decided on a white body hugging dress that was long sleeved with a turtle neck style. The material was thick and one of the best, it stretching out every curve I had and tightening everything else in. My feet found themselves slipped into red stiletto pumps that could take a werewolf’s life just from one kick. My hair was brushed back and tucked behind my ear, pressed down with not even a strand straying out. In that day I had felt many emotions and I was about to make a lot of people feel so many things too, not as pleasant for them. My heels clicked and echoed all through the hall way with each stride I took. My mind running back in the shower having my breath hitch. The king had took it into his hands to clean me to his satisfaction even after much protesting from me but I had got so excited when I had my own chance to explore his body. I scrubbed him clean from head to t

76. THE LAST SUPPER PART II
Movement drew my head away from the table as the king sat up, his face in a full frown. He did not even have to speak as they all snapped up, some chairs even falling and hitting the floor hard. They nearly ran to where I pointed for them to go.There were about two hundred of them, all had walked out leaving only three of them. I wondered how we even did it, how we managed to cook everything. I shook my head, it was a miracle.“So, you all here, walked out of the kitchen on the morning on the first ball, leaving only three ladies. I had asked so many times and literally begged until you all agreed to cater for the whole week but then just walked out with no notice. I don’t know if you wanted to sabotage me or the whole pack. If everything went in the way you wanted, there would have not been any food for the pack and leaders the whole day, the whole week in fact. The whole pack would have suffered which just shows that in this pack we don’t have unity. But I will not talk much becaus

77. NO SPACE FOR GOODBYES
After we all ate, everyone eating in silence, the king then stood up to mention that they would all march out at night to the Valley of death where the war was being fought. The warriors had been told much earlier so the whole pack knew at that point. They were all even sadder, heads bowed. It was the saddest moment in my life with the room falling even more silent if that was possible. One of the head warriors had then stood up and said a prayer for the whole pack and all of them that would march out to the battlefield. The king sat down for a few more minutes, nothing said, just staring around at his people and somehow I could not read him but he was not okay, I could see that. He was never okay. My hand slipped on his thigh, giving it a brush then moved until I found his hand, taking it in mine and feeling his fingers lace through.I squeezed his hand a couple of times, reassuring him that things would be better. I knew better days were coming. My eyes went through all the warriors

78. FEELS LIKE DEATH
Doors opened and closed with footsteps echoing all through the hall. Each time I nearly died, thinking they were leaving but relaxing into the floor with their footsteps heard again. They were busy and I thought the pack would be busy in preparation but it was so quiet it was unnerving. My feet were crossed where I sat; on the floor in Brum’s office.I read through the documents, forcing myself to read through them yet my mind was not there. It took me to the battlefield, creating its own war where the most important people in my life were fighting for all of us. It was brutal and heart wrecking to even imagine. My body went cold, my arms wrapped around each other with my body rocking back and forth.I wanted to cry but could not find the tears with nothing but grief taking over every sense in my body as if to paralyze me. My jaw ached with it flexing now and again. My hand was raw from running it through my hair that zapped it now and again. I pulled my brain away from the war, tryin

79. DEATH GRIP MY SOUL PART I
CONRI’S P.O.V It had been well over two weeks in the goddess forsaken place. We camped in the forest only to emerge when the enemy had approached to fight. It seems they keep multiplying and there is no way I am seeing that we could win the war. My body was throbbing but not as much as my head. It’s a fight day and night with bodies of my men, my own men, left scattered on the battlefield, bathing in their own blood. No matter how much we pushed it seemed we could never get ahead of this war. A sigh escapes me, my eyes red with no sleep in all the two weeks being there. There was no time to sleep when the enemy could strike anytime, there was no time to sleep when all my men depended on me. They were getting scared I could see, they were seeing the impossible situation we were in. Who would blame them? Fighting with the vampires was like gambling with your life knowing your odds were low. They were just too many. My hand ran through my hair. The rogues usually gave the vampires a h
