Amaris stood there in horror at what she had just done. One of the guards came up the stairs to collect her. Jason stepped forward and grabbed Amaris' arm. "It's fine. I have her." The minotaur had jumped on the manticore and was wrestling both it tail and it's head at the same time. Lyle could not believe his eyes and was frozen where he stood. Soon the minotaur had the manticore in a head lock with one arm, and still had it's tail. The minotaur's grip on the tail seemed to be keeping the manticore from being able to fire it's spikes. The manticore yowled and tried to roll over to get the minotaur off, but the chains did not allow it to do any more than roll to it's side. The King stood up. He was furious. Amaris concentrated on getting all of the soldiers, anyone who is still captive, Michalis and Nikos, and of course, Lyle out of the palace. Amaris decided that it would be a good idea to include Gran also so that she did not need to try and run to get away from the guards after everyone was out.
