Chapter 145
Roman   After my shift, I hurried back to my room. I was excited for the next day. I was going to go and spend as much time with one of my favorite people on earth. Zoey had quickly swept me up into her web. She was this large ball of energy and any day I got to be around her was the best day. I still hadn’t worked through all the logistics of how I was going to get her out of the cells, but what I did know was, if she were in that orphanage, she would be fine. For now. Soon though, soon, they were coming for her, and I didn’t know if I would be able to keep Ronnie back from ripping the throats out of anyone who even thought that they could touch our daughter. Poor girl, I couldn’t even think about what the future would be like if she started to date. Ronnie and I would probably both get thrown to the doghouse for the night. Or week. Depending on how pissed Lucy truly got. Or how much they both liked the guy.    Yet whe

Chapter 146
GabiAfter the attack, I immediately began preparations for the tournament that would need to happen sooner rather than later. With the fact that Remmie was missing, my brother blaming himself and Reign completely distraught, I didn’t know exactly how I was going to manage getting things together. Or who would even run the QRF side? My mind was officially going into overdrive.“Gabs, baby where are you?” Sam’s voice echoed out.“Office,” I replied to the voice. I couldn’t tell if he had yelled that aloud or if that was solely in my head, but either way, I responded both ways. “Baby, we talked about this. You cannot be working yourself so hard. I can feel your worry and stress. Tell me what is going on.” He said, not even realizing that he was attempting to Alpha command me. I just laughed. I thought that we had been through this already. I could not be commanded before him and no way in hell could I be commanded now.“D… Did… Did you really try to alpha command me?” I said in between

Sam   “We all need to talk,” I said, addressing the table. “Since coming together we have all been moving towards the same goal,” I said, looking around at everyone at the table as all the heads nodded in agreement. “But with a heavy heart, we are all doing our own things for selfish reasons. We are all attempting to complete our own objectives but trying to continue with the end goal. In the meantime, we have left our queen to manage everything on her own. Now she will refuse to ask for assistance. I will not. We have this team for a purpose. We are supposed to be here to support one another and maintain the supernaturals. We have so many balls up in the air right now and while each of us is focusing on only one, our queen here is left trying to get them all in order.” I said and watched as many of the faces of those here turned red with guilt and embarrassment. “Sorry, Gabs” I heard coursed out amongst many of her brothers.

Thaddeus I felt extremely privileged. It wasn’t unusual for Sam to task me with something, but nothing this big. Things like this he would oversee, and I would just be the doofus standing next to him making jokes. But this. This meant that I was being entrusted to handling more than just the pack. While I was mostly the jokester of the group, I had always taken training seriously. And would take this just as seriously.Within 30 minutes after leaving the conference room, I was down on the field where all the warriors from each of the factions were. I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer number of Fae that had arrived in full warrior gear. From the looks of their gear, they always went out in full garb. From head to toe, they were dressed in some sort of deep brown leather. Their head gear was some sort of brown cap like for baseball, or maybe trucker. They had dark green long-sleeved shirts covered with a deep brown leather vest th

Chapter 148 and 149
Reign The minute my sister went missing my heart dropped out of my chest. I had never felt so alone. I could feel her confusion, her anger, even her pain. Every day she would wake from the emptiness to something that would anger her. I could feel our bond, could feel her attempting to reach out to me. I wish I could reach out to her, to hold her and support her through this. Hell, most of me just wished that I could take her place. Each day was the same, I would awake with the confusion she must have been feeling with her immediate transfer to anger. After the anger would come the torture, the pain to various parts of her body. Most of the pain went to her face but I had also felt the sting of a blade ripped down her arm. Her legs. The only thing I was grateful for at the time was her abdomen had seemed to have been spared. Though, I didn’t know how she was healing as I could feel the burning sensation along my wrist and ankles. After the torture would come the feeling of freedom.

Chapter 150
Celeste Channeling was a dangerous feat to pull off and, to this day, I have never met a witch or wizard of any kind with enough magic in them to pull it off alone. Even with an entire coven as big as mine, the magic that was used was not easy. Using the demons to pull from should make this easier. But not any less risky. That was the reason Amethyst was hesitant about even mentioning it. I couldn’t let her channel this much magic and energy. It would kill her. Even with me doing it, I wasn’t certain that I would be able to pull it off and return unscathed. But I will try. I could sense that Adrik knew I was hiding something as we all formed the circle. He kept staring at me with questions in his eyes, but I couldn’t tell him. He wouldn’t let me if I did. Just one look at Cain’s sweet face and I knew that I would do everything within my power to complete my task. I knew that Lynol and Adrik could regenerate magic much faster than I could. Hell, even my coven couldn’t. There weren't m

Gabi Amethyst and Celeste asked me before they had considered any spells, and what the limits were. Many in the magical world thought anything having to deal with blood or sacrifice fell along the side of dark magic. They taught me so much about their magic and their coven's magic. While they considered themselves white witches or light witches, they had several members from every sector, including into the darker arts. From what they had stated, the only one that they knew had a darkened aura was that of Lucy. But since she had met her mates with Roman and Levi, her aura had begun to lighten.Celeste had told me that the spell she would need to use was a blood spell, but by lacing her blood with Remmie’s she would give them what they needed to, scry with. I had initially approved of the spell. Why wouldn’t I? It sounded fairly simple. As we all stood in the circle, I was told that I would not be allowed. I had initially prote

Abel I was watching the circle that we were asked to be a part of.  Cain and I were standing together. The moment that we had walked into the room I had begun to worry. Cain took one look at Reign and began to curse. His psyche was not there. The damn guy wasn’t in a good place. I could feel his anger, guilt, and despair wafting from him in waves. I thought the moment that Celeste had drained part of our energy, that it would calm him. And temporarily it did. But the minute that the ritual was over, Cain opened his eyes only to stare right at Reign. When both Reign and Celeste screamed out in pain and fear, Cain lost it. I raced across the circle to Reign and sc

Remmie   I yelled for Reign to leave me. I knew she was experiencing the same horrors as me, she would never be able to recover. My Reign was sweet and innocent. I was the messed up one. The one that would fight off all her little demons. But after what they had done. Who was going to chase mine away? Who was going to hold me when the nightmares came?  Get real, Remington! You will never make it out of here alive. I criticized myself. I didn’t know if that was true or not but, at this moment in time, I was truly feeling that my fate was sealed by those four walls. ‘REMMIE!?’ Reign yelled loudly through my mind. ‘It’s okay Rey. I am fine. I told you to block it out. Damnit Reign. You need to listen to me. You have to block this shit out. If not for me, for your little baby. Please Rey.’ I pleaded with her. I needed her with me to help me stay. Help me stay sane and like I have someone with m

Chapter 154.1
Lucy “It’s okay. I know it all seems really bad. But it isn’t really all that bad.” I said to the whimpering young man that the guards had just brought in and thrown into the cells. There weren’t a lot of guys, but we did get a few. I guess we catered to all sexual preferences. How progressive the annoying slime ball that was Alpha Doug. “How about we start with something easy?” I asked him. “How about you just tell me your name?” “Matus. Well, at least that is what everyone called me back at the orphanage. I think they just call me John here.” He whimpered.“I am so sorry about all this, Matus. How old are you?” I asked him. He was so young, and the way he reacted to everything, I was worried that he might be underage.“Eight.” He whimpered. Did I just hear him right? Did he just say eight or eighteen?“
