11. From the Beginning
...Sienna POV...I could feel a rush of emotions as I continued to explain how I first met Hunter. Just talking about it made me relive it. While it wasn't your classic meet cute that most girls swoon over, it was perfect. Perfect for us. I could feel my cheeks begin to heat up with the recollection."Yes.. so anyways... I managed to get in the ring with him. He held back at first, thinking that I just wanted his attention or something. It turns out that girls don't frequent that club at all. So Hunter grew curious as to why I was there in the first place. Which was perfect for me anyways. As it meant he stopped holding back. After years of training, I was finally fighting someone that wouldn't hesitate to give me their all. Though, admittedly, I think I may have been too cocky." I admit, looking away from Ash, unable to look him in the eyes from my confession.I could sense the worry in him as he reached out and pulled my attention back to him."What happened?" Ash asks."Hunter punc

12. Silvio
...Ash POV...As I was listening to Sienna's explanation, it felt as though everything was beginning to click into place. I never understood why Hunter would go after Sienna. It didn't seem like something he would do. Especially since he never even attempted to claim ransom. He reached out to Damian once. But it was more informative than demanding. It was as though he was letting us know that he had her, which is weird for kidnappers. Normally they let their friends and family be aware because they want something in return. Most typically, money. So, when Hunter did none of this, it left us all confused. "What happened then?" I ask.Sienna turned white. It was clear in her expression that whatever happened wasn't good. I reached my hand out and gently grabbed her hand, stroking my thumb over the back of it once more in a comforting manner."It wasn't pleasant. But it was evident that they were limiting my interactions with Hunter. It was a few days before I even got to see Hunter. By

13. The Wife
...Sienna POV..."Silvio? But why?" Jace asks, clearly confused. I realize I forgot some details in my explanation."Kevin was never the mastermind behind any of it. Silvio was. Silvio just allowed Kevin to believe that he was spearheading everything. But Silvio had his own goal in mind." I explain."Which is?" Jace asks, standing up to walk to the side of my bed. I can tell we got to the part he was most interested in. Up until now, he wasn't fully interested. But these were the details he had been looking for."To take over Los Calaveras and bring back the Cobras." I explain."Silvio would've been the next heir to the Cobras, but when the FBI disbanded them, it left him with nothing.""Wait... Silvio isn't the heir of the Cobras. Hunter is." Jace states."Actually, no. Silvio has more precedent than Hunter." I explain."How? The only one that could claim to be the heir would be Hunter. His dad was Chase Finch, after all - The Cobras' second in command." Jace counters."That's true.

14. Freedom
...Ash POV......Five Weeks Ago...I hated having to leave her. It went against everything I was trained to do. My job was to protect her, not leave her there to die. But I knew she was right. If there was any hope to get out of this, then leaving her there was our best chance. She was too injured to leave with us. Her broken leg would make it impossible to get her out of there. Both Hunter and I were too injured to carry her out, and if she couldn't walk herself, she wouldn't be able to come. Which meant that we needed to go all the more. Hunter and I were her only chance of survival. We needed to get help and quick. However, I found myself doubting our escape. Why would Silvio let us go? I know if I had gone to the work of capturing someone, I would never allow them to escape. So why did he give us this opportunity? Surely he knew we weren't that injured that we wouldn't be able to escape? Perhaps he thought that we wouldn't leave Sienna? The thought alone was crippling. If the evi

15. Blame Game
"So, care to explain what that phone call was about?" Hunter asks as he downs a shot before pouring himself another. He holds the shot toward me, and I eye him in annoyance. Sending him an incredulous look as I can't believe he's using the time to get plastered. "The only guarantee in life is death. Unfortunately for us, that promise looks as though it will be fulfilled before the end of the day. So we might as well enjoy the moment now, as we may not get another chance. Plus, from your behaviour, it would seem as though we need to wait here anyways. So might as well make use of the place." Hunter remarks. While I may not like the guy, I can't discount his words. We've already been through a lot already. While I'm not one to drink on the job, I can't deny the temptation to take the shot, knowing it will help take the edge off. After a moment of resisting, I walk towards the bar and grab the shot from his hand.I swallow the liquid quickly, feeling it burn my intestines along the way.

16. Bee Allergy
The room grew silent after my confession, neither of us having anything else to say. Before the silence could be broken, a bang from the back of the bar grabbed our attention. Hunter and I shared a look, unsure of what to expect. I walked towards the bat lying on the ground, picking it up and getting it ready for whoever was there. Hunter seemed to have the same thought as me as he went around the back of the bar and grabbed a knife. I nodded in the direction of the source of the noise. Indicating for him to follow me. Another noise rings out, making it clear that there's someone there. I run my index finger and thumb across my lips, signalling to Hunter to remain silent. I station myself outside of the room from where the noise is originating. Reaching my arm out silently as I search the wall to turn on the light switch. After a brief search, my hand comes in contact with the switch, flicking the lights on quickly.I peek my head into the room, the bat at the ready.I hear movement

17. Safe House
"Terry, pass me your phone." I state, urgently.Terry doesn't hesitate, handing me his phone. I dial Jace's number, hoping desperately he's with Damian right now.Jace picks up on the first ring. He recognizes the number, so answers immediately."Huxley." Jace remarks into the phone."Jace. Is Damian there with you?" I ask, getting straight to the point."Yes. Why do you ask?" "Are you somewhere private, where no one can listen in on you- including tech?" I ask."No. But I can be. Just a second." He comments. The line goes quiet before I hear Jace pick the call back up."Asher? You still there?""Asher? Is he ok? Where is Sienna?" I hear Damian frantically remark in the background. "Ya, I'm still here. Pass the phone to Damian. I need to talk to him." I state.Jace isn't happy but ultimately obliges. The sounds are muffled slightly as I can only guess that Jace is switching to his headset, giving an earbud to Damian in the meantime."Asher? What's going on? Where are you? Where's my

18. Get Away
The next hour is extremely chaotic. As suspected, Damian's team managed to locate several bombs throughout Stone Enterprises. They took comprehensive pictures of all of them and sent them all to me. Terry helped me organize each of them to make sure I could properly figure out how to disarm them. Damian informed me that the person behind the bombs is known for always having a backup plan. Which would mean we would need to find more than one way to disarm the bombs. I would need to work on a way to disrupt the signal to not only the bomb itself but from any communication devices in place to trigger it as well. While all of this was completely out of Hunter's understanding, he still proved himself to be an asset. He watched to see where he was needed and then helped to organize a game plan. Once I was satisfied that I had managed to identify every way to disarm the bombs, we went through our game plan as many times as possible. Because of the trackers inside of us, Hunter and I would

19. Moved On
...Sienna POV......Present..."So... wait... you're telling me that not only is Silvio alive, but my dad's business did, in fact, blow up? I thought it didn't since I'm still alive." I comment, unsure as to what's going on. "Yes.. and no..." Ash comments. I furrow my brows at him, unable to understand what he could possibly mean by that. A building blowing up can only ever be a yes or a no answer. Not both. You can't somewhat blow up a building. Either you do or you don't."The tower blowing up was faked. Stone Enterprises never blew up.""Care to explain?" I ask."Your dad would be the better person to ask. But essentially, he created a sophisticated program that mixes AR and AI technology to create an interactive scenario. So to put it simply, the building exploding was nothing more than a computer program." Ash remarks, making my eyes go wide.I watch as Ash pulls out his phone and searches for something before showing me the phone. On the screen is the video feed of the building

20. Firecracker Returns
"What about Silvio?" I ask, desperately needing to change the topic."He's disappeared. As we had suspected would happen. We believe that he's using Kevin's finances to hide from us. It seems as though Silvio managed to syphon a large number of funds from Kevin's company into offshore bank accounts. We're unable to trace it from there, but we believe Kevin was oblivious to this. As Kevin was under the impression that it was your father working against him, which was causing his funds to go sparse."I continue to nod my head in response. In all fairness, my dad was, in fact, doing that. I know my dad has been after Kevin for years. But it just goes to show that you can never be too careful. Kevin had thought Silvio was on his side. When in reality, he was just biding his time, waiting for the opportunity to get rid of Kevin. To Silvio, Kevin was nothing more than a convenient placeholder.Ash seems to grow silent, making me wonder if there's something else he's not telling me."What is
