Chapter 29

EMILIA POV

Seth was staring at me with a murderous glint in his eyes, and I knew that I was next.

“You killed him,” I spat as I took steps backwards. “You killed Alpha James.”

“Now, Emilia,” he spoke slowly, his tone like a bitter song. He left Alpha James’s body on the floor and headed towards me.

I flinched as my back hit the door, and I placed my hands against the knobs, ready to run for my life if he got too close for comfort.

The one thing I was not expecting was him running as fast as possible and standing in front of me that I couldn’t even register him before he reached me, but he was not raising his hands to kill me like I thought he would.

“Get away from me!” I screamed as he used his bloodied hands to swipe all across my body.

I pushed him off and finally opened the doors, running out and attempting to shout for help when Seth beat me to it with a scream that shocked me.

“She has killed the Alpha! Catch her!” he screamed, and I heard soldiers stomping their feet as they ran
