“Make me a cup of coffee” I ordered Kelsie via intercom. I heard her sigh before saying okay. When I dropped that call I grinned because finally, I could have her near me every day.
I’d been waiting for that moment to get close to her. I knew that she’s working in that restaurant for a couple of years already. When the owner decided to sell the establishment, I immediately made an offer with a hefty amount they couldn't refuse.
Since that day her father died, I have always wanted to protect her. But it didn’t happen because my parents sent me to Massachusetts to focus on my Master's and Doctorate in Business Administration at Harvard. I couldn't refuse at that time because I don't have the authority to defy their orders.
Right after my graduation, I looked for her and found out that she already moved to California. But again, I caught up with problems in our business which need my attention the most.
