Throne of Gods

1.

In the kingdom of Serenacia, all hell broke loose as the wailing and anger of the king's sons, Odell, roared through the city while everyone feared, but also mourned the death of the king of Gods who ruled them, but now lay with a stake in his heart.

And now he was dead.

Something bewildering and impossible to think about, because as it is said, Gods can live forever, yet here it is.

The clouds became darker as lightning of heavy strikes shook the earth, and the humans knew that the only way for them out at the moment, was the cry out to the Almighty, Creator of God's, and the owner of the heavens and earth.

"I am going to make anyone responsible for this pay dearly, I Swear by the God of the heavens." Odell with extreme confusion, but rage covering his eyes spoke with much intention, because not only is it impossible to him for a God to die, but knowing the fact that his father was killed.

"Odell you have to stay calm and be in control..."

"How can you tell me to stay calm at a moment like this, Barak!" Odell never lets Barak end his sentence by cutting him off in a raging tone.

"You may not be able to be calm but at least be sensible about this situation, and let's handle it the way we should, before our father's gets back with more information." Layland, another one of the Gods around Barak and Odell's age group cuts in, while staring at him manly.

"Of course, because your father is standing healthy and not the one laying on this bed DEAD!" Odell with so much grief adds.

"Okay then, you can keep raging upon the humans and then when all the damages is done, I think you'll find regret quite harder than your grief, so your choice." Alec another of the Gods says.

Odell stare on Alec gives a warning signal, and if not for the reason of the two being mutual friends, Odell would have had a counter conversation to add.

"The only thing we can do now is to find out who in heavens name knows how to kill a God?" Darius, the fifth God in the room spoke while all attention lay on the late king lying on the bed.

"Do you think it could be a human or a demon?" Barak asked.

"What human would have the knowledge about killing a God, that's impossible." Odell replied first to Barak.

"And even if it was possible for any human to have that knowledge, how close would the king and that human have been? Because from what I see here, king Orrin did not seem to struggle," layland moves closer to late king Orrin's body.

At the statement of layland, Alec's deamenor changed, but he facaded it by running a hand through his brown locks. Not only did Alec know the hidden affairs of the late king, also on who may have killed the king, yet all he did was keep his deamenor calm and not to stir a hunch that may be wrong.

Alec watched the four as they all conversed, all with Odell still fuming with grief and rage. Alec studied his surroundings trying to solve the maze of how such could have happened, because if something like this can, that would mean none of them are safe.

But the main questioned remained, how the culprit knew how to kill a God.

"If one of Darius ladies get closer than they should, what do you think would happen to Darius?" Alec's asks out of the blue with a little smirk on his lips, while circling the late kings room.

"What? Seriously Alec? How is this the time for one of your jokes?" Darius speaks as a matter of fact staring at him unbelievable.

"Sometimes I wonder if you're a God," Layland adds making Alex chuckle a bit. Truth be told, Alec is known for his jovial and free spirited nature, putting him in everyone's good side, where as everyone loves Alec, after all why won't they? He is indeed a God of love and seduction.

Yet, that's what his fellow Gods think is the reason behind the love the humans have for him, but it goes farther than that, as Alec himself intently cares for the people.

"What are you doing Alec? You're supposed to be helping not cracking useless jokes," Odell speaks up still making Alec smirk harder.

Odell who is one to be easily tempered, which the humans describe to have the quick temper of a human remains the God of war, as when it comes to fighting of demons, Odell is at the front line.

Layland on the other hand is the God of illusions and compel, while Barak is the God of the four elements, and Darius, being the God of the underworld. Aside all that, it is known for each of the Gods to be blessed with strength, speed, and hyper senses.

"And who says this is a joke, less at all useless?" Alec replies them. "Now if any of you can't answer the question, I will," Alec stares at them all.

"If any of Darius concubines gets closer to him than they already have, then they will find out ways to have a hold on him, same as the king, as who says he couldn't have had concubines," And at the last statement of Alec, Odell's face changes to that of rage.

"Don't you dare... "

"Let me finish Odell!" Alec cuts his friend off, as the look on Alec's face shows he is no more throwing any kind of misinterpreted jokes.

"But as a king, king Orrin would know better than to let a concubine get this close to stab him, hence that is out of it. Leaving us to a God, demon and not a human,"

The four stare at Alec, reasoning his words before layland speaks. "And who says humans are only concubines around the king. There are the workers here whom are mostly human,"

"True, yet none of them would be able to get the king into a position of relaxation that he is now," Alec adds.

"Except... A demon,  a God... Or someone part of the supernatural realm that we do not know of." Barak cuts in.

"Exactly." Alec confirms making the five of them stiff in their positions. "Because, how in the heavens name did they find the stake of Adonis?"
