ALEC.

The smell of colours and perfumes hit my nostrils first upon setting foot outside the palace, and inside the kingdom of Serenacia.

The scene in front of me beautiful and adoring, as I watch the people of Serenacia roam around with such happiness and delight in them, as they walk from one shop to another, buying their accessories for the upcoming event, which is the people's ceremony.

I continue to watch them as the vendors who sell decorations and wears, are the ones to mostly get the populated customers, followed by the shops selling colours and perfumes.

As they buy their accessories, so do they buy foods to add with it, and if they are not taking the foods home, they eat it while they shop.

My smile widens seeing the communication and love that they share amongst one another, bringing joy and satisfaction to me, and not just because of the kind of God I am, but because I truly care about these fragile beings.

The people's ceremony is one which was created by the Gods, to give the people a ceremony to celebrate themselves, as that day reminds them of the first time man was first created by the Lord of the heavens.

Such as the people's ceremony, there is also another, called the God's ceremony, in which the all the Gods of Serenacia gather in the kingdom to celebrate our creation, by holding a prayer to the Lord almighty.

Unlike the God's ceremony where the people are invited to the party after the prayer ritual, the people's ceremony holds only the people, Gods do not attend, and only if a God wants to attend, he/she may go ahead.

"Did you really think I wouldn't recognize you in this from?" I hear from behind me as a familiar body is brought closer to mine.

"Cara!" I speak with such delight upon turning to see a familiar goddess by my side

"Alec," Cara answers with the same enthusiasm as she pulls me into a hug.

"And what is the goddess of life and fertility doing in the kingdom without giving me a notice of her arrival?"  I ask Cara as we pull away.

"Well I should be the one asking, what the God of love is doing here disguised as a mundane?" Cara turns the question to me making me chuckle.

"How did you even get to change your appearance?" Cara asks again even more baffled and intrigued.

"How did you even recognize me?" I ask a question after another.

"I would recognize you even if you were an ant Alec," Cara responds making me chuckle. "So tell me, how did you get this?" She asks her question again.

"If you're that curious, then I'm not telling, " I tease Cara before walking further and making her more curious.

"Oh come on Alec," Cara chuckles as she follows behind me. "Tell me," She meets up with me being persistent.

"Only if you tell me why you came to the kingdom and not bothering to inform me," I stop turning to face her.

Her white locks turned brown, due to the amount of dyes she put in them to enable her walk freely amongst the humans, as they cascade down her shoulders, so as her white eyebrows also turned black, with the makeup she put on them.

With her previous form it is easy to spot her as a God, and gesturing Cara is just like me who doesn't like the fame, she prefers to be this way. Not that she doesn't fancy her powers, because if I'm to know anyone who appreciates their gifts more, it would be Cara.

As she puts it, there is nothing so blessing and beautiful than seeing people happy when they have just gotten the news of a new born child or prevented one from dying.

Yes, she's capable of that.

"I was going to tell you that eventually," She hits my hand playfully. If Odell was here, he would have described this gesture as being over jovial, because in the palace that's what they do see me as, and once Cara is in the picture, they label us as, the best duo of unserious Gods.

"If that's the case then I'll tell you, but I actually thought you would have figured it out by now," I tease her again. The mundane body I wear is a bit similar to mine when it comes to looks, as he is also a bit as extremely striking as I am in my full form, with brown hair, thick eyebrows and sculpted face.

As we stand to discuss, I notice a bunch of men passing by stare and adore Cara, and why won't they? She is indeed beautiful, yet again which God isn't? And if she is also to let her full form loose, we won't be standing here as of now.

"Oh just tell me Alec," She shakes her head tired for my teasing.

"Okay Cara, Octavius is the one behind this form," I tell her making us stop unexpectedly.

"Octavius?" she asks me and I nod. "You're serious Alec, are you?" She asks again.

"Yes Cara, I'm not playing games here, Octavius did this for me," I tell her again.

"That traitor!" She says and a laugh escapes my lips knowing where this is going. "How could he? I basically begged him to do that for me, but he refused and here, he did it for you," Cara speaks with fumes, yet chuckling at the same time.

"I am so going to get back at him," She adds again.

"Don't take it personal Cara, it's not his fault, no one can basically resit me when I ask for something," I send a wink her way making her mouth go open before I walk away.

"Oh you impeccable man!" She yells after me while I chuckle loudly.

"You love me that way!" I yell back.

"No I don't!" She denies blatantly.

Oh Cara.

She eventually meets up with me by hitting my arm before we keep on walking and chuckling together. As we walk by the stalls, with Cara telling her jokes and experience of where she has been for the almost a decade, a scent hit my nose.

At the instant, I stop in my tracks while Cara stares at me dumbfounded, asking me what's wrong, but all I can focus on is this usually scent, a scent I have never perceived in my entire 700 years of living.

The scent composing of hyacinth and Lily, with a mix of freesia, all mixed together in one, creating a strange yet, beautiful and unique scent.

What is that?

The scent intensifying, making me walk towards it on reflex all while Cara follows after me disturbed. "Alec what's wrong?" Cara asks worriedly but that doesn't stop me from walking towards where its coming from.

"Oh come on, stop making me follow you like a puppet," She whines still while following me.

As I make a right turn, I take another left, practically increasing my pace by the second, when I eventually come to a stop at the source of it all.

How wrong was I, when I thought it was a what, when indeed it is a she. And there she stands, an unknown girl marketing the baskets and flowers she sells, as her slick blonde hair moves and falls with the breeze, almost reaching to her waist.

Her orbs black, with her skin tanned and beautiful, complimenting her full plump lips, reminding me of one particular God of such beauty.

"Who is she?" I hear Cara ask beside me with the same curiosity that I have, the only difference being that mine is more than just curiosity.

"I don't know." I reply her with my gaze still on this unknown, yet striking human.

Who are you?
