4.

ALEC.

With everything in me, I watch her strikingly and mesmerized by this unknown girl's beauty. Her serene and elegant nature, similar to something only God's have, yet I know and I'm definite that she is human.

"Alec," Cara calls my name making me take my attention off her for a while and down to Cara next to me. "Are you sure you don't know her?" Cara asks me again.

"No I don't, do you?" I ask her hoping she would, so as to give me a kind of excuse to meet her, not that I need one.

"I don't, but why does she look extremely familiar?" Cara asks the question I have been battling myself with.

Apart from her striking beauty, her nature and aura does perceive to be familiar and warm, making me envisage if perhaps I do know her.

With a swift of her her hair, an image strikes in my head, and at the instant I do recall why we both have the same feeling of familiarity with her.

"Because she looks like an ancestor of ours. One known for her beauty and elegance," I speak all while my gaze still on this mundane.

"Aphrodite." Cara completes my sentence making me turn to her and nod slowly of how right she is. "But how is this possible?" She asks me perplexed.

"I'm not so sure, but I once heard Octavius talking about reincarnation of certain Gods, I'm not so sure if it could be in a human," I tell her.

"Oh, I do have so many things to discuss with Octavius." Cara speaks with her gaze on mine.

"We both do, but first I need to meet her, there's something about her, I can't just pinpoint." I say to Cara.

"Because she looks like a Goddess Alec, and not just any Goddess, but Aphrodite." she says.

"I know, but it feels more than that," I add before taking my gaze off her and up to the girl. "Act with me, will you?" I smile at Cara back as she huffs and closes her eyes for a second knowing what I'm asking.

"Then you owe me," She speaks a deal making me chuckle.

"Anything you want Cara of the kingdom of grendor," I speak formally making her chuckle.

Originally, Cara isn't from the kingdom of Serenacia, but grendor, but she has take Serenacia to be her second home.

Cara and I walk towards the girl, as each step I take, I take it with excitement. "Hello," I speak first upon reaching her little cut out shop.

"Hello sir," The first words that drapes out of her lips, as her voice fills my eardrums with sweetness and calmness.

Lord of the heavens.

"Do you want a basket or a flower sir?" She asks me but I just stare at her adoring.

Who are you? I keep asking myself.

"What is your name?" I ask brusque, making Cara stamp me on the feet and I turn to her instantly.

"Don't mind my brother dear, how much are your flowers?" Cara takes the lead, and I internally chuckle at the name tag she gives me.

Brother indeed.

"It's no problem ma'am. My name is Dalia actually," She speaks and at the sound of her name I become more intrigued.

"Dalia," I pronounce it off my tongue.

"Yes sir," She answers with a full and graceful smile.

"How much is everything on your table, Dalia?" I ask her clearly taking her by surprise.

"Pardon sir?" She asks again.

"I want to buy it all, how much is it?" I repeat.

"Oh... Sir... um... That would be a hundred, but since you're taking it all I'll leave it, for ninty five." She answers with excitement.

"Thank you Dalia, but I wouldn't want a discount price, sell it all to me at the normal range." I tell her and she smiles even more.

"Oh... " She laughs happily.  "Alright sir... That would be a hundred, should I pack it all up?" She asks us.

"Yes you can dear," Cara answers this time with a smile.

"Alright ma'am, thank you...my father is going to be so happy," She speaks softly fluent and excited as she packs up our items.

"Tell me Dalia, what work does your father do?" I ask her brusque again.

"He's a farmer sir," She responds still packing our things.

"And what about you?" Cara asks this time around.

"Well, I don't do anything, than to make these baskets and flowers and sell them, while my father works at the farm," She answers truthfully.

Another gift of a God, is to know when one is telling lies or not, and Dalia here has no inch of a lie in her statement.

"But, do you wish to have a proper work Dalia?" I ask her making sure to let her name fall from my lips each time.

"If I did get a job better than this, I would love that and so would my father." She answers again.

"And what if I was able to direct a job for you Dalia, would you take it?" I ask her all while she finishes packing our items, which would be honestly useless to us.

"I would appreciate that a lot sir, but I would tend to know the nature of the job sir, if you don't mind sir?" she looks at me while I stare at her brown orbs.

"Of course not." I answer with a smile.  "How would you like working at the place? I hear a God there is searching for a trustworthy person to be taking care of his study," I tell her.

"The palace sir?" She asks me again.

"Yes." I answer.

"Thank you very much for the offer sir, but I would have to consult my father first." She admits truthfully.

"That won't be a problem, and if he does let you, come over to the palace and also to see my sister, Cara here, she'll take care of the rest." I inform her while she nods her head gracefully.

"Thank you very much sir. May the Gods be with you and the almighty bless you." She prays and I smile one last time before we leave.

Oh they already are, Dalia.

What a beautiful human.

"I think I'm in love with that human Cara," I speak unexpectedly as we walk with cara, making her stop in her tracks.

"What? For the sake of the heavens! You can't be serious?" She replies with an unbelievable and surprised look. "You, Alec of Serenacia, the God of love, in love with someone for the very first time and with a human?" Cara explains my life.

"You make me sound bad that way Cara," I tell her.

"Oh no, that's not my intention, it's just... Surprising, that's all, especially since its with a human," Cara adds.

"It's not like it's forbidden," I tell her as a matter of fact.

"I know it's not... It's just it's a bit... Bothering to say honestly," Cara's expression which was once filled with surprise and excitement to taunt me, is replaced with a bothersome look.

"What is it Cara?" I ask her now serious, knowing its more than just liking a human.

"Don't you feel it?" She asks me.

"Feel what?" I ask.

"Don't you feel that something is not right, that something is wrong Alec," She says making me go silent to listen to her.

"Of course, you know that too, because as much as I am happy that you have found someone you can pronounce you love even if it sounds very dumb as its your first time meeting her, we both know something does not sit right, with the king being killed by the stake of Adonis and finding a human that looks just like the goddess, Aphrodite." She tells me honestly as I still remain silent knowing that her words are true and bothering, to say.

Adonis and Aphrodite, what is the lord of the heavens planning?

My gaze stern on Cara, knowing that what may be going on may be more than what any of us ever imagined, yet I couldn't help but feel the pull towards Dalia, even when I clearly know something is wrong.

"Also Alec, you asked me why I'm here," Cara begins as I stare at her listening. "Odell asked me here, but not just to reach the Gods of the heavens directly, but... " she stops.

"But what Cara?" I ask her as my form instantly changes back to a God, thankfully we are at a secluded area.

"But to try and bring back king Orrin."

And I hope I clearly hear her wrong.
