ALEC.

June 19th.

Another day in the palace, where I sit writing in my journal again. Now I understand why the rumors could have risen about me going back to the Lord of the heavens. But, neither do they all understand that with my gifts comes a curse, and to the fact that,

Gods too are also flawed...

Many would gasp when I make such a statement, 'in such sense that, everyone wants such a gift as mine,' whereas, they wouldn't have to lift a finger to do anything, or to earn the people's heart, because it comes naturally.

What everyone do not understand is that, you could be a bad person with such gift, yet disguise as a good person all because you're the God of love and seduction.

My past writing would let it known that, I prefer to earn what I have than it given to me on a silver platter, but the Gods of the heaven knows better than I do.

So, I take it as fate.

However, this is not my reason for writing today, as I write in a state of disturbance.

The king is dead.

The king of the Gods, who rule the kingdom of Serenacia is dead, so yes, my earlier statement is true. It feels surreal, dishevelling and confusing as of how his death took place, because as of now, every God in Serenacia is at alert.

We are no longer safe.

And still yet, that remains the least confusing thing, as what is, is the finding of the stake of Adonis, which was used to kill King Orrin.

So many questions left unanswered, because yet, I never expected the Lord of the heavens to let such happen, without giving us any kind of sign.

Still yet still, it is still a sign from him that each and every God he created is now in danger, meaning a new supernatural has risen, or it could be a supernatural who has always been there.

At this moment, I can't help but feel guilty based on what I know and can't say, because if anyone was to know of the treason spoken by  ceciro, who hated the king and always joked about him dying, I will also be suspected, yet, not just that, but Ceciro whom may not have meant his words be sentenced to death.

And if, it was any other God, they would take it for treason which it is, but as it is, my flawed nature allows me to joke even at wrong moments, which baffles me, because at this point, anyone could have killed king Orrin.

And all that we know, we can't do anything about it yet, until the end of the competition of Gods, to attain a new king to the throne.

Such a competition that hasn't been held in the last thousand years.

And such a competition which will begin from the 3rd day after king Orrin 's ceremonial burial.

"Alec," My head snaps away from my journal to the voice calling my name. Odell stands at the open door, with two hands into the white suit trouser he is wearing.

"Odell," I close my journal upon seeing him.

"Still writing I see," Odell compliments making me smile a little. "That's good, you are always one to remain calm at a situation like this, which I admire," Odell speaks.

I get up from my seat, walking towards Odell and stop when I reach his eye level. "How are you brother?" I ask him sincerely, knowing that upon all his facade, he is hurting deep down.

"How could the Lord of the heavens, let this happen, Alec?" Odell asks me, finally letting his feelings open.

"I don't know Odell, and if I do, I believe he has a greater reason for this." I hold unto his shoulders.

"What greater reason? Huh? He specifically told us that the stake was nowhere to be found, hid it from us also, only to release it into the enemies hands," Odell speaks with rage.

"And still yet, there is nothing we can do about that..."

"Yes I know because, he is the Lord of the heavens, that's not new news," Odell cuts me off making me stare at him with the amount of doubt he has in the creator.

"Let me ask you Odell, when the army of the Titans attacked, who saved us?  Who did we call upon? Who gave us the weapons we use today? No, tell me Odell," I ask in his face. "Yes, he didn't let us know about this, neither did he say anything to Octavius, but you need to know that it will all fall in place. I am deeply sorry and there is nothing I can do about your father's death, than to help find his killer, but we should be thankful we have the stake in our hands now, because what if it was taken out, and we only saw marks of it?" I speak to Odell sincerely.

"And still yet, the way the stake was taken the first time, who says it can't be again? After all, its all in the lords hands." Odell asks the one question that makes me go silent. "I thought so too brother," He says before adjusting his collar properly making me take my hands off.

"Either ways, why I'm here it to inform you that the burial is about to take place," Odell adds wanting to leave.

"Come here," I disregard every of his statement and actions by pulling him into a brotherly and Godly hug. "No matter what, I'm here with you, Odell." I pat him on the shoulder before we pull apart.

-------------

King Orrin's ashes lay in the jar, as every God in Serenacia stays present in the room, honouring the dead king.

Octavius, the wizard of Gods, takes over the event, where Orrin takes part in burial ritual of spreading his father's ashes through the Holy line, so he can rest in peace.

The signature of white attires compliments the hall, as both God and  goddesses, pay due decorum and respect to the late king.

My eye meets with Cicero, as the look on his face makes me feel even more guilty of knowing what I know, but still yet, I couldn't call it murder when it is indeed treason.

Because at this moment, neither of us know anything or who killed king Orrin.

But I believe, it is about to be revealed, which also means it is time I begin to leave the palace, at the same time prepare for a competition which is about to take place.
