Chapter ninety-four

Freya’s POV

I cursed Caleb to hell, along with Ethan Black. If not for them, I wouldn't be in this predicament.

How was I supposed to know that working with Ethan would get me to this point?

I felt like I was about to die.

I whimpered as I gently prodded the mangled mess that was in my hand. It was healing but the process was slow since Caleb had struck my bone. I couldn't even move the hand at all and I'm sure I looked like a raccoon from all the crying I've been doing.

My stomach rumbled, a protest against the hunger strike I decided to embark on. I glanced at the men staring straight ahead at the road like if they dared look back at me, their eyes would be cut off...

Seeing the stony looks on their faces and her clenched jaws, I sighed and curled back in on myself, knowing that they would be of no help.

The rocking movement of the car as we drove on, hitting bumps and potholes lulled me to sleep, and the next thing I knew I woke up to a silent car.
