When Davion had told me that he had a surprise for me, I couldn't believe it at first. I wasn't the one that was too keen on surprises and so, it piqued my interest. What exactly was the surprise that he was so excited to share with me?

And when he had given me the envelope, I couldn't help but rack my brain on what it was about but when I opened it, I received the greatest shock of my life.

There it was. Pictures of my mother fully awake on her hospital bed stacked up and embedded there. Davion had taken pictures of her secretly when she woke up and had brought them for me.

"She..." Words failed me to convey the emotions that I was actually feeling inside. "She's awake?" My voice choked with emotions as I felt the tear stray down my cheeks. "When? How did this happen? Why didn't the hospital call me?"
