I stared in silence as the warriors dragged Adam away. I knew he could see the recognition in my eyes.

(Jensen’s POV)“Chase” I glanced at my dad before returning my sight to my friend. The look on his face was raw. It was twisted between pain and fury and even some fear in there. If I could just get to him, then maybe I could calm him down, but I was ready to protect Kaeleigh if it was required. I moved forward to get in front of Kaeleigh. I didn’t know what was wrong with him, but I wasn’t risking it.Then the air shifted and Chase growled at me. I could tell by the way Kaeleigh dropped to the floor and the way she bowed her head in submission that she was devastated and I did everything I could to hold back a growl. Then Chase let out a roar, and I watched in shock as he picked up his father’s desk and threw it across the room. It smashed into the wall in pieces just as Chase stormed out of the room.
