I saw the burns on her body but I didn't point it out. Not because I wasn’t worried, but because her temperature was more concerning.

The burnt spot in her body was healing and didn't pose a threat to her health.

Karl disagreed, “Still, you should point it out and try to heal her so she wouldn't have terrifying scars.”

“Not now, Karl.” I chimed, repositioning Zadie in my arms as I descended the stairs. “If we are going to agree about anything, this should be it, Karl.”

Before my wolf beast could argue with me, Zadie murmured, “I am sorry for being a burden. You must have so much to do with the Alpha King after the stormy night.”

“You are more important.”

I said without hesitation. Zadie’s red face turned a shade darker and I smiled as she looked away from me.
