EVE’S POV“What have you done?!” I said in alarm staring at Ezekiel. “You were supposed to scare them, not engage in a fight with Max. Now, you’ve shown yourself to them! ALEXIS POVOnce we got to John's house, Jaime was waiting for me outside. She welcomed me with a big hug, squealing, "Aunty Mia!"It took me aback. I squeezed her in a hug and then said, "What did you just call me?""Dad said your birth name was Amelia so, I decided that I'd call you Aunty Mia. It's the shortened form of your name."I felt tears pool in my eyes and I hugged Jaime back. I closed my eyes and savored the feel of her stubby body close to mine and her arms around my neck. There was just something that her words did to me. It felt good to be in a family unit. After I and Jaime dislodge from our hug, Grace stood with her arms opened. I walked into them. "Welcome home, Amelia. Welcome."I felt the tears escape and my heart was filled with an indescribable joy. I was glad my family members were the Rhodes. I was glad it was them. ALEXIS POVA few days after I begun to stay with the Rhodes, Grace prepared a most elaborate dinner because John’s company had won an exclusive contract and it was such a huge deal for his career. She’d outdone herself and prepared dinner like it was a bouquet and we were at least twenty people as opposed to the three adults and one child that we were. It was a slow and sweet kiss yet I felt the passion and heat of being separated from Amelia. ALEXIS’ POVI got up early the next morning; just at the crack of dawn. I was expectant. Was today the day Max would take me to his home land? Yes, he’d mentioned it, but we hadn’t fixed a date for it. Knowing Max and how he didn’t waste time with the execution of his plans, it felt like he could do something like that; ask us to travel that day. Whether or not we did travel that day, I began to pack anyway. I didn’t know for how long we would be gone, and I really loved the closet Max had prepared for me and was confident in those clothes. So, I packed at my liberty. Luckily, I found some empty suitcases in the walk-in-closet, so I filled them with clothes, shoes, underwear and what not. My stomach would likely grow bigger in that place and we might not be able to go shopping there, so I took that into consideration when I decided what dress to take or what not to.
