“The board members just approved my designs. What’s the reason to celebrate it with a grand party?

And why am I even here, Carver? This is unreasonable!”

I was about to cry while following that superfast lycan, Carver was gladly rejecting expensive gowns in every shop like a fashion diva.

My traitor friend Skylar, who came to see my designs, left shortly after Carver’s arrival. She winked at me.

“This is some hot meat, Helena. Grab this opportunity before it’s claimed by a teenage girl.”

Her classmates were crushing over Carver, as she posted his picture on her IG and tagged me too.

I rolled my eyes at the notifications.

“Who is that handsome hunk?”

“Why is he so hot?”

“Be my daddy. I am a good girl.”

And so on.

I turned my cell phone on silent mode and tapped Carver’s shoulder, who was busy squabbling with a salesgirl.

“We need to talk, Carver. Now!”

My rigid tone finally found its way into his thick brain, he excused himself and followed me to a qu
