Chapter 11

Things were going pretty smoothly after her confession, much to Ella’s surprise. It’s been almost three days, and not once did Dan try to talk to her, which she didn’t know was good or bad.

She had been observing him, and he seemed to behave normally, as if she had never told him the reason for leaving. But whereas his mom and dad were concerned, they were pretty supportive and understood her completely.

Yes! What she did was pretty cowardly, but people make mistakes and learn from them.

Ella was going into the living area to call Dan and Lily for lunch when she saw the sight in front of her, which made her heart melt all over again. Lily was sitting on Dan’s lap, and both of them were laughing. She had unshed tears in her eyes. Moments like this always make her feel like a bad person and a terrible mother.

She didn’t want to ruin the moment, so she decided to go inside the kitchen without disturbing the two of them, but God had other plans for exactly that moment.
