Chapter 7

Ella was in hysteria.

Even though the Daniel she knew was one of the most amazing person, she wasn't sure if he had changed in the years of her absence. Now that he knows about Lily's existence, he could easily take her away.

She might be getting ahead of herself, but she cannot say for sure if things between her and Daniel will ever resolve amicably. He had stormed from her home, and it was only a matter of time until he marched back and take their daughter away without even listening to her explanation.

When the doorbell rang later at night, it made Ella stand as still as a rock. She was too anxious to open the door and face Daniel again. However, when the bell rang again, she took a deep breath, slowly walked towards the door, and opened it.

At first, she was relieved to find Timothy standing in front of her instead of Dan, but at the same time, she could not help but feel disappointed that he hadn't even come to meet his own daughter. Did he not want anything to do with Lily?
