Ella was in hysteria. Even though the Daniel she knew was one of the most amazing person, she wasn't sure if he had changed in the years of her absence. Now that he knows about Lily's existence, he could easily take her away. She might be getting ahead of herself, but she cannot say for sure if things between her and Daniel will ever resolve amicably. He had stormed from her home, and it was only a matter of time until he marched back and take their daughter away without even listening to her explanation. When the doorbell rang later at night, it made Ella stand as still as a rock. She was too anxious to open the door and face Daniel again. However, when the bell rang again, she took a deep breath, slowly walked towards the door, and opened it. At first, she was relieved to find Timothy standing in front of her instead of Dan, but at the same time, she could not help but feel disappointed that he hadn't even come to meet his own daughter. Did he not want anything to do with Lily?

Ella was up early. Unlike usual, she did not need to have her own daughter as her alarm clock. She had hardly gotten any sleep last night, as she was stressed about Dan’s reaction. At present, Daniel was going through papers in the file when his phone rang, making him pause his work. He picked up without looking at the caller ID. “Hello.” “It’s been over two weeks, and you still didn’t think it was necessary to call your mother and tell her if her son was fine or not.” His mother, from another line, demanded an explanation. “Sorry, ma. I have been busy with work. I have been working on a project.” He explained. “Danny, life is beyond work as well. For the past six years, you have done nothing but work. Ella was doing nothing but trying to relax by watching one of her favorite shows on television. It has been years since she actually took time out for herself and did nothing. Usually, she is busy taking care of Lily, but now that she is out with her father and meeting her grandparents, she can be alone. She knew that at some point she would have to meet Lucia and Finn, but she wasn’t ready. What reason could she possibly give them for her abrupt departure? They were no less than like parents to her, as they always took care of her like their own kid, but she had to do what she had to.
