Today, unlike usual, Daniel was feeling delighted. He has not been this excited for years now. He guessed that he was pretty curious about seeing the mystery girl who caught his eye the other day, even though he had not seen her face. She was fully aware that she was acting cowardly, but she was not prepared to deal with Daniel and Timothy at the moment. It had been a while since Ella wished to stay cooped up in her personal heaven. Even though her current occupation was not something she had ever intended to pursue, she had come to accept it and even enjoy it over time. Life is truly unpredictable. All of her dreams from back then looked far-fetched now. Nonetheless, she does not regret her choices. Despite the fact that her life had taken a new curve, she remained satisfied. Now, she was not sure whether her feelings would remain the same. Working as a manager at a café was not something she envisioned, but as the days went on, she began to enjoy her new profession. It did motivate her to get out of bed in the morning and go to work. She liked to walk to the café or drive herself to work. But, unlike on prior occasions, she did not wish to leave her residence. The past week has been good for Ella. She, Aubrey, Timothy, and Dan had been working on a project to expand the cafe. Initially, she thought to clarify her status with Ron to Daniel and Timothy, but she still hadn’t gotten a chance to tell them the entire truth about the marriage, and later on, she assumed that both of them figured because they would have asked her. Further, her conversation with Ron made it apparent that everything was in jest. At present, it was Saturday, and Ella was having an argument with her daughter. Ella was in hysteria. Even though the Daniel she knew was one of the most amazing person, she wasn't sure if he had changed in the years of her absence. Now that he knows about Lily's existence, he could easily take her away. She might be getting ahead of herself, but she cannot say for sure if things between her and Daniel will ever resolve amicably. He had stormed from her home, and it was only a matter of time until he marched back and take their daughter away without even listening to her explanation. When the doorbell rang later at night, it made Ella stand as still as a rock. She was too anxious to open the door and face Daniel again. However, when the bell rang again, she took a deep breath, slowly walked towards the door, and opened it. At first, she was relieved to find Timothy standing in front of her instead of Dan, but at the same time, she could not help but feel disappointed that he hadn't even come to meet his own daughter. Did he not want anything to do with Lily?

Ella was up early. Unlike usual, she did not need to have her own daughter as her alarm clock. She had hardly gotten any sleep last night, as she was stressed about Dan’s reaction.
